Job summary

Kroll Settlement Administration, part of Kroll’s Business Services, seeks a Senior Manager to lead projects and teams across the country. You will ensure high-quality delivery, supervise managers and analysts, and maintain strong client relationships while driving process improvements.

As a senior leader, you will manage budgets, meet milestones, and collaborate with Directors and senior management to exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years in claims administration, account management, client services, paralegal or project management; budget responsibility preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Background in legal, banking or financial services/accounting or class action administration.
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel and strong planning/organizational skills.
  • Paralegal/JD highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manages a team of Managers, Analysts, and Coordinators, providing feedback, training and performance reviews.
  • Ensures client expectations are met and cases are handled appropriately and timely.
  • Oversees project milestones, delivery of client engagements, and adherence to settlement terms.
  • Sets billable hour goals, monitors utilization and invoicing, and manages case budgets.
  • Collaborates internally to meet client needs and foster continuous improvement.
  • Makes informed, independent decisions and provides recommendations to senior management.

As a settlement administrator, we are responsible for notifying potential class members, reviewing and processing claim forms filed by individuals and entities, calculating losses, auditing claims to determine the extent of the damages incurred and processing and distributing funds to eligible class members under the court’s direction. Senior Managers have client facing project management responsibilities, are required to be subject matter experts in the projects they oversee and will be engaged in a variety of roles. The primary role of the Senior Manager is to ensure that engagements assigned by the Director they report to within the organization are receiving the appropriate attention and direction from the Managers, Analysts and Coordinators they directly supervise, and that execution on project deliverables exceeds client expectations. Senior Managers are considered integral to the growth and prosperity of the organization and are responsible for identifying areas of opportunity and leading process improvement initiatives, working closely with management and executive management.

Responsibilities


  • Team Leadership: Directly manages a team of Managers, Analysts, and/or Coordinators (at times, in multiple locations across the country or globe). Provides feedback on performance and support and training for development and writes and delivers employee reviews. Motivates and enables the team by setting clear objectives and expectations. Acts as the hiring manager in building out teams as needed, identifying the top candidates for the role(s).

  • Client Relationship Oversight: Ensures that cases assigned to their team are appropriately handled and that client expectations are met and exceeded. Provides support and guidance when appropriate and proactively escalates matters and issues to Directors and senior leadership for awareness. Engages directly with clients and helps to define client needs so engagements are handled appropriately and timely.

  • Project Management: Responsible for direct supervision of project teams. Timely and accurately executes on project deliverables and key milestones and tasks. Oversees the terms of Settlement Agreement or other mandates/milestones are met and exceeded, drives deadlines with timely quality outcomes, takes ownership and accountability of the overall delivery for the client.

  • Performance Management: Sets billable hour goals and targets for utilization and quality for project team members they supervise; meets their own billable hour goals and targets; reviews key reports to ensure controls are being accurately utilized and expected work is occurring from direct reports, ensures and validates invoicing as necessary and pays close attention to case budgets.

  • Internal Collaboration: Works internally to meet the needs of the client while building internal relationships and team building, utilizing standard processes and systems, supporting new efforts and approaches and providing feedback to others to encourage an environment of continuous improvement.

  • Effective Decisions: Makes well-informed, independent, effective, and timely decisions perceiving the impact and implications of those decisions to the projects and/or the business. Makes thoughtful recommendations to the Director and senior management.


Requirements


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: claims administration, account management, client services, paralegal and/or project management; preferably with budget responsibility for projects.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Background in legal, banking or financial services/accounting or previous class action administration required.

  • Excellent computer skills, including excel, exceptional planning and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle pressure.

  • Previous leadership experience with responsibility for basic supervisor duties (hiring, developing, disciplining teams).

  • PMP certification or equivalent highly desirable

  • Paralegal experience or JD is also highly desirable
