Position Summary...

Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager of Risk Intelligence to support our Global Security Operations Center. This role delivers actionable intelligence that helps safeguard customers and associates, protect critical operations, and support decision-making across Walmart’s U.S. and international businesses.

We are looking for a seasoned intelligence professional with 10+ years of experience in public and/or private sector roles. The successful candidate will bring expertise in geopolitics, global risk dynamics, and intelligence tradecraft, along with the analytic rigor, intellectual curiosity, and judgment required to transform complex information into clear, defensible assessments for senior leaders.

About the team

Risk Intelligence delivers actionable intelligence that helps Walmart anticipate, understand, and respond to geopolitical, operational, and security risks. The team monitors global developments, assesses emerging threats and opportunities, and produces decision-ready intelligence that supports the safety of customers and associates, protects business operations, and strengthens organizational resilience across Walmart's global footprint.

What you'll do...
  • Produce Intelligence Assessments: Deliver timely, concise, and actionable assessments, briefings, and strategic reports that articulate key judgments, business impacts, and implications related to political instability, civil unrest, supply chain risk, and other emerging threats.
  • Apply Geopolitical Expertise: Contextualize intelligence assessments with a nuanced understanding of regional and global dynamics.
  • Showcase Intelligence Tradecraft: Employ structured analytic techniques and sound analytic methodology to produce defensible intelligence judgments.
  • Integrate AI into Tradecraft: Leverage emerging AI tools to enhance analytic workflows while maintaining rigor and objectivity.
  • Build Trusted Partnerships: Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen Walmart’s resilience.
  • Operate with Excellence: Continuously improve intelligence methodologies, frameworks, and processes.
What you'll bring...
  • 10+ years of intelligence experience in public or private sector roles, as well as formal intelligence analysis training.
  • Strong geopolitical expertise and ability to assess the second- and third-order impacts of global events.
  • Advanced analytical skills that move beyond summarizing sources to providing unique insight and defensible judgments.
  • Exceptional writing with extensive experience producing finished intelligence for senior leaders.
  • Ability to distill complex, ambiguous issues into concise, decision-relevant assessments.
  • Compelling communication and ability to brief senior leaders with clarity.
  • Comfort adopting AI-enabled tools as part of modern tradecraft, while maintaining analytic rigor.
  • Aptitude to operate in high-pressure, ambiguous environments, exercising sound judgment under uncertainty.
