Senior Manager, Security, RASA (Risk Assessment, Security, and Assurance)

Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Security Risk Assessment, Security, and Assurance (RASA) team are considered regional security officers (RSO’s) who will serve as the facility security Subject Matter Experts for all facilities (Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Supply Chain, and Corporate) within the appointed regions across the country, ensuring compliance to established security standards developed by Global Security and implemented across the enterprise eco-system.

What you'll do...
  • Crisis Management: Manage and mitigate crisis events by understanding variables involved, coordinating crisis responders from various disciplines across the company, leveraging partners to bring the proper resources, assets, and services to ensure resolution of the crisis event, and conducting post-event analysis for continuous improvement.

  • Risk Assessment: Oversee data-driven assessments of internal and external security risks to people, business operations, and assets. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security programs in relation to the identified vulnerabilities and risks and translate security risk data to identify business risks for stakeholders.

  • Risk Mitigation: Mitigate risks to company assets by evaluating requirements, constraints, assumptions, and variables for businesses. Conduct cost benefit analysis relating to business risks and support implementation of value-based security and protective programs that are consistent with industry security standards and company policies.

  • Strategic Planning: Provide recommendations and support to leadership in the development of strategic crisis response and recovery processes, global governance, and mitigation projects to reduce company losses and closure times.

  • Project Leadership: Lead multiple, cross-functional security risk projects for the enterprise by supporting various security programs globally, assessing and developing protection strategies for stores, clubs, distribution centers, corporate critical infrastructure, and international facilities to mitigate security risks.

  • Team Support: Provide development opportunities for new associates by training, mentoring, and building a team-based work environment based on collaboration, always striving for improvement.

  • Policy Adherence: Manage the security assurance program within Global Security and across the enterprise, ensuring alignment to company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application.

What you’ll bring:

  • Operate independently with limited supervision maintaining a high level of professionalism.

  • Create a distinguished personal brand which represents Global Security accordingly as an ambassador on behalf of the division.

  • Highly functional team member capable of building strong collaborative relationships internally and externally, and across the Walmart Eco-System.

  • Conduct security assessments of Corporate, Supply Chain, and international facilities.

  • Support the Enterprise Security Risk model and deploy the minimum-security requirements outlined within the model, to include 3rd party security support.

  • Continue the responsibility of the security assurance program including maintaining and auditing against the security standards to ensure compliance with policy.

  • Based at the Home Office, with travel 25%-40% of the time according to the needs of the company.
