Job summary

The Savic Lab at UCSF is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Manager, Scientific Publications to lead the scientific communication strategy for translational pharmacology and AI-enabled modeling initiatives. You will oversee manuscript development, grant planning, and consortium reporting, partnering with investigators to advance MIDD, QSP, and global tuberculosis research.

Qualifications

Academic background and experience in selected area of research.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Advanced ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills.
Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups to achieve results.
Advanced ability to work collaboratively with internal and external peers and managers.
Strong scientific writing and editing abilities, with a demonstrated track record of publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
Expertise in designing scientific figures and presentations, with proficiency in tools such as GraphPad, Adobe Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
Ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling, and accessible formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and functions.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex quantitative, computational, pharmacological, and biological research into clear, compelling scientific narratives.
Experience supporting publications involving pharmacometrics, quantitative pharmacology, infectious diseases, AI/ML, systems biology, or translational medicine.
Hands‑on research experience in addition to graduate work in an academic setting.
Minimum 5 years of related experience.
