Job summary

Create Music Group, a leading music and entertainment company, seeks a Senior Manager, Royalty Administration & Onboarding to lead onboarding strategy for newly acquired catalogs. You will translate complex deal terms into scalable royalty structures and workflows across Create’s systems, partnering with M&A, Finance, Legal, and Royalties teams from due diligence onward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music business, accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; or 5+ years of royalty ops exp in music.
• 4+ years of royalty administration or operations experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience (managing other managers preferred).
• Track record of catalog integration/onboarding onto a platform, not just administering an existing one.
• Experience translating contract terms into system configuration (rates, splits, territories, escalators, cross-collateralization, recoupment).
• Experience configuring enterprise royalty/rights-management platforms at config level.
• Ability to design defensible workarounds when a platform cannot implement terms literally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; organized across concurrent acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Own contract-to-system royalty interpretation: rates, splits, territories, escalators, cross-collateralization, recoupment and workarounds.
• Own Royalties Readiness Gate for incoming acquisitions with peer review.
• Own handoff packet standards for acquisitions; no transfer without clear packet.
• Lead contractual royalty obligation analysis and onboarding methodology decisions.
• Represent Royalties in M&A diligence from LOI and manage diligence memo sections.
• Own team's project portfolio: tooling for expenses, sales, contracts, and onboarding checklists.
• Define access governance for royalty systems; enforce across departments.
• Set KPIs for integration and operations; manage and mentor the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
