Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a highly strategic Senior Manager, Revenue Operations to lead revenue operations, accounting guidance, and system/process integrations for major initiatives including M&A and consumption-based revenue models.

You will partner with Strategy, Finance, Technical Revenue Accounting, and Financial Systems to design, integrate, and maintain compliant OTC processes under ASC 606, ensuring scalable controls and cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 10+ years in Revenue Operations or Revenue Accounting in technology.
  • Experience with M&A purchase accounting and OTC integration.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and its impact on processes and controls.
  • Experience with enterprise ERP and revenue management systems (SAP S4HANA, NetSuite, Metronome, Salesforce/CPQ).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across IT, Product, Sales Operations, and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and support M&A OTC integration including strategic evaluation, design, and execution.
  • Architect revenue models for consumption-based offerings and NPIs.
  • Collaborate with Product, Finance, and IT for Day 1 readiness and post-close integrations.

  • Standardize processes and automate where possible across revenue lifecycle.
  • Partner with internal audit to maintain SOX compliance and governance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on consumption-based models.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly strategic Senior Manager, Revenue Operations to join our Revenue Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading revenue operations, accounting guidance, and system/process integrations for major strategic initiatives, including M&A integrations, and consumption -based revenue models.

You will partner closely with Cross-functional Strategy, Finance, Technical Revenue Accounting, and Financial Systems teams to design, integrate, operationalize, and maintain compliant OTC processes under ASC 606.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and support M&A OTC integration including strategic evaluation, process design, integration, and revenue operations execution
  • Architect and drive revenue operational models for consumption/usage-based offerings, including integrated business models and complex consumption based NPI launches
  • Partner with Product, Business Development, Finance, Technical Revenue and IT teams on M&A OTC Day 1 readiness and post close system architecture and metering integrations (e.g., Metronome, SAP, NetSuite) into core revenue architecture.
  • Manage revenue close, RPO, ARR for consumption-based revenue, stocking program and Financial services, and continuously drive process optimization.
  • Apply a strong understanding of best-in-class QTC process and underlying systems’ capabilities to drive scalability, standardization and automation.
  • Partner with internal audit and compliance teams to maintain SOX compliance and support Governance, Risk, and Compliance initiatives. Ensure operational controls are effectively designed, documented, and executed.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing team with a focus on consumption based models. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Operations, Revenue Accounting, or Big 4 public accounting, with specific focus on technology companies.
  • Experience with M&A purchase accounting and OTC process integration methodology, practical execution, business process and operational adoption. Proven track record of managing post-merger revenue integrations and operationalizing complex product launches (consumption models).
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 principles and their operational impact on revenue processes, systems, and controls.
  • Strong functional knowledge of enterprise ERP and revenue management systems (e.g., SAP S4HANA, SAP RAR, NetSuite, Metronome, Salesforce/CPQ).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects across IT, Product Management, Sales Operations, and Finance leaders.
  • High level of work organization and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-change environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Consumption based OTC experience is highly preferred.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.

$149,600.00 - $242,000.00/yr
