Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager, Research & Development to lead product development across Prosthetic Urology and Pelvic Floor franchises. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers, shaping strategy, driving portfolio delivery, and accelerating global expansion for patients with urologic disorders.

The role requires a track record in medical device development, design controls and cross-functional leadership within a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in product development, engineering, medical devices or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading and managing technical teams.
• Strong understanding of design controls, risk management, quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working within highly matrixed, global organizations.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.
• Experience supporting global product registrations and international product launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D activities across Prosthetic Urology and Pelvic Floor franchises, incl. erectile restoration, stress urinary incontinence, pelvic floor reconstruction and related technologies.
• Provide engineering leadership for new product development projects, driving portfolio priorities.
• Support global launches, international expansion and integration of emerging technologies.
• Deliver projects on schedule, within budget and compliant with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams through product development from concept to commercialization.
• Identify and mitigate technical, clinical, regulatory and operational risks across the portfolio.
• Establish priorities and allocate resources across a dynamic portfolio.
• Foster engineering leadership across mechanical, materials, systems and product design.
• Promote innovation through technology scouting, VOC, clinical engagement and design excellence.
• Drive problem-solving and post-market improvements and reliability initiatives.
