Job summary

Boston Scientific is recruiting a Senior Manager of Systems Design for AIS R&D in Arden Hills, MN. Lead a high-performing team responsible for system-level design of active implantable devices for CRM and Urology divisions.

You will provide people and technical leadership, drive high-quality software/hardware development across the product lifecycle, and collaborate with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical teams to deliver valuable medical technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE/CS/BME or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ with a master.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a technical engineering group.
  • Experience delivering medical devices in a regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering methods and tools; design controls focus.

As the Senior Manager of Systems Design, you will provide people and technical leadership to a team of engineers and direct the day-to-day work of the implantable systems development function. This team’s primary activities are to help define high valued products for the business, create system requirements and design, and partner with various R&D functions to develop these products.This role is highly cross-functional both inside and outside of AIS R&D as the Implantable Systems Design team is the primary technical point of contact for the Marketing, Regulatory, Technical Services, Medical Safety, Quality, and Clinicals organizations. Success will require strong technical judgment, a track record of efficiently developing high-quality medical devices across the product lifecycle, and the ability to build trusted relationships with direct reports, cross-functional partners, and senior leaders.Work Model, Sponsorship, Relocation:At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an on-site work model requiring employees to be in our Arden Hills, Minnesota office at least four days per week.
