Job summary

SkyVest Renewables seeks a Senior Manager, Asset Management to own portfolio P&L and set asset strategy for wind, solar and BESS assets. You will report to the COO in the Operations department and oversee O&M, capital budgets, and revenue optimization.

The role requires 7+ years in utility-scale renewables with strong P&L, budgeting, and contract negotiation skills; travel up to 15% to SkyVest and ArcLight offices and assets nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in utility-scale renewables or power industry with asset management, project finance, and operations experience.
• Proven track record of owning P&L for a portfolio of operating assets including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong knowledge of PPAs, hedges, LGIAs, O&M agreements, and tax equity and project financing documents.
• Solid understanding of NERC/FERC compliance and ISO/RTO market structures; merchant exposure and congestion.
• Experience with vendor management and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own performance and asset optimization strategy for assigned assets; set annual KPIs and multi-year plans.
• Accountable for asset-level P&L, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting to executives and lenders.
• Oversee development of asset and portfolio operating models to support valuations and capital decisions.
• Lead commercial management of O&M, BOP, OEM services; enforce KPIs and availability guarantees.
• Evaluate and approve major maintenance, repowering, and capital projects.
• Oversee warranty and insurance claims; ensure strong safety culture.
• Maintain compliance of key project agreements and regulatory obligations.
• Lead contract negotiations and contracting strategy with Legal;resolve disputes.
• Prepare asset performance updates for equity investors and lenders; engage with regulators.
• Coordinate with communities and agencies to support operations and relations.
• Identify value-creation initiatives: cost reductions, performance upgrades, revenue optimization.
• Lead M&A due diligence, integration, and refinancings; assess operational risks.
