Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical Real-World Evidence Strategist in Epidemiology to lead real-world data programs across the product lifecycle. You will design observational studies using claims, EHRs, registries, and other data sources, and collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, HEOR, and Marketing to translate questions into rigorous evidence strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in clinical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, outcomes research, or real-world evidence.
• Strong expertise in epidemiology and observational research methods including cohort studies and comparative effectiveness research.
• Experience developing study protocols, analysis plans, and publication plans with clinical stakeholders and biostatisticians.
• Ability to engage physicians and researchers in study design discussions and translate clinical questions into executable RWE programs.
• Familiarity with ICD, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED, LOINC and multiple data sources (claims, EHRs, registries).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinical epidemiology and observational research lead for enterprise RWE initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and regulatory colleagues to translate questions into scientifically rigorous RWE studies.
• Lead observational study designs using claims, EHRs, registries and related data.
• Develop and review study concepts, SAPs, and publication strategies.
• Provide expertise on bias, confounding, missing data, and causal inference to support evidence generation.
• Guide concept and cohort definition using structured and unstructured data.
• Partner with biostatistics and data science teams on methodologies and interpretations.
• Drive enterprise-wide strategies for leveraging RWD for regulatory, clinical, and market needs.
• Represent Boston Scientific in scientific and regulatory forums and publications.
