Job summary

RSM US LLP in Houston seeks a Senior Manager - Property Tax to lead client engagements in a growing National Property Tax Practice. You will oversee real property tax analyses, help clients manage assessments and appeals, and mentor staff to deliver accurate results.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting and 7+ years in property tax consulting, with a CPA/CMI/JD or related designation and hands-on experience with PTMS or Appeal Track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Seven+ years of experience providing property tax compliance and consulting services.
• CPA, CMI, JD, or property tax designation from state of work.
• Knowledge of real property tax laws, regulations and filings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Real Property Tax Software (PTMS, Appeal Track).

Responsibilities

• Manage client real property value notices/assessments and appeal overvalued notices.
• Develop staff skills and resolve issues within the team.
• Consult on property tax reviews, abatements and appeals.
• Distribute work among team members and ensure timely completion.
• Cross-sell other services to clients.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations.
• Oversee client billing and financials.
• Provide timely performance feedback to staff.
• Communicate emerging tax issues and regulatory changes.
• Educate staff on property tax processes and procedures.
