What You'll Do

The Discover Tokenization platform enables leading payment experiences like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Card-on-File by providing payment tokens. We are planning to modernize this platform to support high-volume, low-latency requirements.

The Product Professional leads the execution and development of the Product Vision for our Modernization efforts, driving business value and improving customer experience, while ensuring alignment and managing dependencies across teams within a Product Family and with cross-functional partners. The Senior Manager is a servant leader, team manager, and SME with deep knowledge to recognize patterns and contribute significantly to the profession.

We seek someone experienced in managing large, complex platforms with strong technical and business architecture skills, capable of leading in a cross-functional environment with a bias for action.

How You'll Do It

1. Execute on the Family Product vision by collaborating with stakeholders on key considerations, aligning with product vision, features, and roadmap to support business goals. Use customer insights, feedback, financials, compliance, and risk data to define features and roadmaps, potentially growing or building new product portfolios. Lead design, development, and implementation of new strategies. Work cross-functionally to manage shared goals.
2. Establish KPIs and OKRs for the product team, ensuring alignment with senior leadership. Create prototypes (e.g., MVPs, POCs) based on customer feedback to test and validate ideas. Synchronize with Product Family POs on prioritization and delivery to maximize value. Define product family MVPs and manage priorities.
3. Manage product lifecycle at the family level, from strategy and roadmap to development and market readiness. Set objectives, oversee execution, and supervise product professionals. Work with minimal supervision.
4. Validate user stories and ensure appropriate testing frameworks. Collaborate with Data stewards to ensure data quality controls. Inspect and evaluate product progress through iterations.
5. Monitor performance metrics such as financials, network volumes, and customer feedback. Analyze industry trends and develop strategic recommendations for improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
6. Mentor and influence team members, fill knowledge gaps, and negotiate across teams. Develop and coach teams to manage risks effectively.
7. Collaborate on go-to-market strategies with cross-functional teams and technical partners. Outline technical features needed for system optimization and infrastructure maintenance.
8. Build team capabilities by developing talent, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and ownership. Serve as a business lead on cross-functional teams, managing dependencies and strategic partnerships. Provide vision and direction.

Qualifications You'll Need

The Basics

• Bachelor's in IT, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• 8+ years of Product Management or Engineering experience in Financial Services, Tech Industry, or related.
• Alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

• Primarily stationary work, indoors in an office setting.
• Ability to operate office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and calculators.

Bonus Points If You Have

• 2+ years of People Management experience.
• Agile Certification: Scrum Master or Product Owner.
• Experience with Token Platform Modernization, Cloud Native, OCP, Cloud Migration.
