Danfoss Power Solutions in Van Wert, OH is hiring a Senior Manager, Plant Controlling to oversee the financial performance of the DPS facility. You will drive profitability, analyze forecasts vs. actuals, and guide strategic decisions with cross-functional leadership.

You will ensure GAAP compliance, coordinate with global BU Controllers, and lead a team to protect assets while delivering strong ROIC. This role emphasizes cost control, budgeting, and governance.

Qualifications

• Requires CA or CMA with 8–10 years of industry experience.
• Strong ability to handle critical/high-pressure situations with rigorous follow-up and fast issue resolution.
• Structured, process-oriented, meticulous with large financial databases and complex matters.
• Proficient in SAP, Power BI, and MS Office; capable of managing financial data, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning and performance management processes: profit plans, forecasts, variance analysis, and financial closure with GAAP compliance.
• Support leadership by analyzing forecasts, operating results, capital requests, quotations, and costing; advise on financial implications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Shared Service Centers to ensure policy and SOX compliance; coordinate general ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and ERP systems.
• Apply costing, budgeting, and process improvements to improve profitability and governance; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strengthen finance governance, internal controls, and asset protection; train teams and close audit gaps.

Our facility in Van Wert is looking for a dynamic professional for a leadership positionwho will hold overall responsibility for managing thefinancial performance of DPS, catering to multipleStrategic Business Units (BUs).

As ourPlant Controller, you will play a key role indriving financial performance, enabling informed management decisions, and improving operational and financial results.

Your responsibilities will includeanalyzing forecasts versus actual performance, identifying business drivers, and evaluating operational metrics. This role requiresforward-looking insightsto support leadership decisions anddrive both short-term actions and long-term strategiesthat ensuresustainable competitive advantage and strong financial returns on investment.

You will provideproactive financial leadership, ensuringcompliance with corporate financial policies, legal requirements, and GAAP. The role also focuses onbuilding organizational capability within the finance functionthrough close coordination withglobal BU Controllers.

You will ensure thatcorporate assets are adequately protectedand provideoperations management with financial guidancenecessary to deliver theexpected return on those assets.

You will collaborate closely withglobal BU Controllers and operations leadership, taking ownership offinancial performance management, compliance, and strategic financial guidance, helping DPS move toward a moreefficient, results-driven, and financially sustainable future.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead financial planning and performance management processesto deliver accurate profit plans, strategic plans, monthly forecasts, variance analysis, cost control insights, and timely financial closure while maintaining integrity of financial reports and general ledger.
• Support senior leadership and plant managementby analyzing financial forecasts, operating results, capital investment requests, new quotations, and product costing, recommending corrective actions, improving profitability, and advising on financial implications of business and operating strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Shared Service Centers, Global Service finance, and Global BU Controllersto ensure compliance with corporate policies, GAAP, SOX, statutory requirements, internal audits, financial reporting standards, and smooth coordination across General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and ERP systems.
• Use your financial, analytical, costing, and modeling expertiseto improve cost control, productivity, gross utilization, profitability, capital spending governance, budgeting systems, inventory controls, standard cost updates, and continuous improvement initiatives including EBE, MESH, ELSS, and other BPI efforts.
• Continuously strengthen finance capability and governanceby building internal controls, safeguarding company assets, ensuring quality and standard finance processes, training finance teams, closing audit gaps, implementing system upgrades, supporting business development initiatives, and maintaining compliance with indirect taxation and statutory laws.

What We're Looking For

• CA or CMA (preferably CA)with8–10 years of industry experience, including3–4 years in a Business Controlling rolewithin amanufacturing organization of similar scale.
• Strong ability to handle critical and high-pressure situations, supported byrigorous follow-up,fast issue resolution, andstrong networking skillsto ensure timely closure of critical matters.
• Highly structured, process-oriented, and meticulous work style, with the ability to managelarge financial databases, handle complex financial matters, andoptimize time through efficient iterations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP),Power BI, andMS Office, with hands-on experience in managing financial data, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial insights and support decision-making.
