Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Manager, Pharmacist of Formulary Management in California to lead a team of pharmacists and operations specialists handling formulary operations and regulatory submissions with CMS/Medicare, SERFF, and UM processes.

You will partner across analytics, product, actuary, and operations to improve affordability, quality, and member experience while guiding cross-functional implementation and timeline management.

Qualifications

• PharmD from an accredited US school and an active California RPh license.
• Minimum 8 years in managed care pharmacy with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead formulary and UM processes and cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of pharmacists and specialists for formulary operations and UM submissions.
• Oversee CMS/Medicare/formulary submissions, SERFF filings, and implementation accuracy.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, actuary, operations, and vendors to improve affordability and member experience.
