The Test Solutions (TS) Engineering Center is seeking a Section Leader. As a Section Leader you will lead Mechanical Engineering professionals responsible for all elements of mechanical engineering design through all lifecycles to include but not limited to development, transition to production, design verification, qualification, and manufacturing acceptance of final product going to the customer.
You will supervise and lead a team of approximately 10–20 members. In this role, you will set meaningful, measurable goals and communicate effectively to ensure your team is aligned with both department and directorate objectives. You will conduct formal and informal performance reviews, hold career development discussions, and lead by example while upholding our core Values and Behaviors: Trust, Respect, Collaboration, Innovation, and Accountability. The Section Lead responsibilities are expected to account for roughly 15% of your work week, with the remaining time charged to program contracts within the TS organization. In addition, you will collaborate with multi‑discipline teams on the operation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems. You will perform independent health checks by evaluating program metrics and engage with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Cross Product Team/Directorate Leads, and other functional leaders to drive results that support program and business unit goals. You will also contribute to Test Equipment Engineering hiring efforts and oversee the onboarding of new section personnel. This role will require you to work on-site in Tucson, AZ.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
