RTX is seeking a Senior Production Test Engineering Section Manager (Onsite) in Massachusetts to lead a team on critical test activities on the factory floor. You will drive staffing, ensure technical quality, and coordinate with central and strategic teams to meet program needs.

Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree with 10+ years’ experience, a track record in manufacturing test, knowledge of lean principles, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience, plus 1 year of team leadership.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Experience in production manufacturing test and lean manufacturing.
• Experience with Quality Systems, EVMS, budgeting, shop floor management.
• Experience with MRP systems (SAP) and proposal development.
• Strong engineering aptitude and analytical skills; technical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize tasks to meet the customer’s needs.
• Coordinate resources and manage staffing levels.
• Provide technical quality oversight and approve timecards for engineers.
• Develop sustaining solutions and perform root cause and corrective action.
• Lead factory improvement projects and support manufacturing floor activities on site.

What You Will Do

• Prioritizing tasks to meet the customer’s needs
• Coordinating resources
• Managing team staffing levels and interfacing with strategic make center personnel and leaders
• Training, coaching, mentoring, employee performance development
• Responsible for technical quality of engineering tasks, product compliance and providing critical oversight to team of engineers including staffing and approval of timecards
• Develop sustaining solutions to technical problems, troubleshoot manufacturing systems and lead root cause and corrective action
• Participate or lead functional or factory improvement projects
• Requires direct support of manufacturing test activities and spending a large amount of time directly on the factory floor in support of a highly demanding dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience. 1 year of experience in leading people/teams. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
