Ingredion is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Time to Pay – North America to develop and implement payroll strategies to scale payroll operations and related systems.
oversee US/Canada payroll operations, serviced by a dedicated team based in Guadalajara, Mexico. This pivotal role requires a candidate with extensive experience in time and attendance, payroll processes, and systems to lead our payroll teams in the US and Canada.
As the center of excellence for the Time to Pay (T2P) value stream, the Senior Manager will be responsible for technologies, processes, and controls, including reporting results, supporting audits, and implementing controls. They will spearhead the Time to Pay digital transformation and technology roadmap, encompassing Self-Service Employee Portals and Data and Process Governance.
What you will do (Responsibilities):
Design and implement payroll system policies and proceduresfor US/Canada, including internal time and attendance controls to ensure consistent practices, risk mitigation, and compliance
Govern T2P end-to-end timekeeping and payroll operationsfor US/Canada, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of payroll. Execute key payroll system implementations, process optimization, and transformation programs
Maintain internal control documentationand participate in key control activities for payroll, identifying and mitigating risks associated with payroll and timekeeping processes
Develop and deliver training materialsrelated to time and attendance and payroll to employees, managers, and HR as necessary, acting as a change agent
Identify, lead implementations, and execute payroll projects or process improvementsto enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll and timekeeping operations
Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including financial statements and compliance reports.
Lead or assist on special tasks and projectssuch as M&A payroll integration, entity setup, and system implementations
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local payroll providers and vendorsto ensure seamless payroll delivery, acting as the relationship owner with payroll vendors
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologiesto collaborate on the Time to Pay digital transformation partnership and technology integrations roadmap, including payroll Self-Service Employee Portals and Data and Process Governance
Actively engage, collaborate, and communicate with cross-functional teams and leadershipto ensure business objectives and priorities are met and executed effectively for seamless payroll operations
Ensure compliance with payroll and wage regulations, tax laws, and social security requirementsin each jurisdiction.
Oversee the US/Canada payroll teamsupporting full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring all local and regulatory deadlines are met. Recruit, train, coach, and develop best-in-class talent to be subject matter experts and points of contact for all internal and external payroll inquiries, achieving business goals and metrics
What you will bring (Experience and knowledge):
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 15 years progressive experience and expertise in Payroll and Time & Attendance process strategies, Country / Province payroll taxes and related controls and risk mitigation strategies including deductions by Country or as applicable
Experience managing a team of payroll professionals and ability to coach and develop talent
Experience transforming a payroll function to maximize automation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
Payroll qualification preferred (e.g. Certified Payroll Accountant or equivalent)
Workday (HRIS) and UKG, ADP Globalview payroll product suite (or other well-known payroll platform) advanced knowledge preferred

Pay Range:
$144,640.00-$200,000 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
