Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Packaging Procurement to lead a dedicated team and drive category strategy across packaging spend. You will own supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and deliver cost savings while ensuring supply resiliency for a global consumer goods environment.

You will develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage six-step procurement processes, and mentor talent to build high-performance teams across SAP/ERP-backed operations and Power BI reporting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience.
• Minimum of 3 years within packaging procurement.
• Strong proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience leading procurement teams and developing sourcing strategies.
• Experience with supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Experience with data analytics and reporting using Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and selection of packaging suppliers, ensuring they meet standards for supply assurance, service, cost, quality, sustainability, responsible sourcing and supplier diversity
• Primary point of contact for all key stakeholders, owning all operational activities related to the sourcing and supply of flexible packaging used in the manufacturing of industry leading brands
• Identify and execute strategic initiatives within subject categories assuring supply, driving resiliency, and optimizing cost and value creation for the organization
• Develop category strategies for respective spend categories: complete spend analysis, define business requirements, perform market research, conduct industry and category analysis, initiate risk analysis
• Manage and execute all steps of the six-step sourcing process including developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, conducting bid analysis, and leading supplier selection

Schedule: Hybrid (3x a week in the office)

A global leader in consumer goods is looking to add a Senior Manager, Packaging Procurement to their team. This person will be responsible for leading a team responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple portfolios. This is a highly visible role that will own category strategy, supplier relationships, sourcing execution, contract negotiations, cost savings, and supply resiliency initiatives.

The Senior Manager, Packaging Procurement Will Be Responsible for the Following:

The Senior Manager, Packaging Procurement Should Have the Following Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 8+ years of Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience
• Minimum of 3 years within packaging procurement
• Strong proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Advanced data analytics and reporting capabilities using Power BI and related visualization tools
• Strong communication skills and proven people leadership and talent development capabilities
