Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Houston seeks a Senior Manager, OT and Telecom Engineering Systems to lead buildout of our Operations Technology and related network infrastructure across LNG facilities. You will coordinate with IT, Engineering, Construction and Operations to design, implement, and operate OT and telecom systems such as access control, cameras, and RFID, ensuring reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecom, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Controls.
• 8 years of design, build, commissioning, and operations of OT and Telecom systems.
• Experience in vendor selection, contract management, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and refactor OT/Telecom system architectures to align with business goals.
• Lead design, review, build, FAT, construction, commissioning, and start-up of OT/Telecom systems.
• Improve system availability, reliability, and quality with proactive maintenance.
• Advise on future OT/Telecom hardware/software purchases to optimize investments.
• Develop training to grow team knowledge and skills.
• Travel to VG LNG sites or corporate locations as needed.

Senior Manager, OT & Telecom Engineering Systems

Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Manager, OT and Telecom Engineering Systems to assist in core plant technology operations and buildout of our organizations technology systems in our LNG facilities. The Senior Manager, OT and Telecom Engineering Systems responsibilities include working with different verticals within the IT organization on IT infrastructure, Network, Cybersecurity and other departments in VG for Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Operations. This position will be a leading our dynamic team to deliver VG greenfield projects and manage operations technology. The Senior Manager, OT and Telecom Engineering Systems is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, and communicating, OT and Telecom systems (PAGA, Access Control, Camera Surveillance, Radio, RFID and OT Security). The ideal candidate will have excellent technical, analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Ability to create system architecture models and maintain or re-factor existing system architectures to reflect the organization’s business vision and goals.
• Lead Engineering Design, Review, Build, FAT, Construction, Commissioning, Start-Up by selecting suitable technology and vendor to deploy OT and Telecom Systems.
• Manage System Availability, Reliability and Quality of the OT and Telecom Systems in Operations with proactive maintenance.
• Provide continuous improvements to OT and Telecom Engineering Systems internal functions, strategies, and processes to maintain a performant, secure and reliable.
• Provide recommendations based on detailed analysis for future purchases of OT and Telecom Systems hardware and software to optimize the companies’ investments.
• Develop and organize training to improve team knowledge and skills for future organizational growth.

• Travel to current and future VG LNG Sites or Corporate Locations as needed.

Qualifications

Required experience

• Bachelor’s degree with background in discipline related to Telecom, Electrical or Instrumentation & Controls
• 8 years’ experience in system design, build, commissioning and operations of OT and Telecom systems
• Experience with product/platform selection, vendor scope and contract management, presentation and documentation for OT and Telecom Systems.
• Demonstrated technical analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
