Vaco Recruiter Services in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Finance Manager, Operations Finance, to lead financial analysis across manufacturing and supply chain. You will partner with operations leaders to manage COGS analysis, gross margin, budgeting, and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, operational finance, cost accounting, plant controllership, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing operations, standard costing, and financial planning processes.
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leadership and translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations, supply chain, procurement, and commercial leaders to provide financial analysis and support key business decisions.
• Lead the analysis and reporting of cost of goods sold (COGS), manufacturing variances, gross margin performance, and operational cost drivers.
• Develop insights and recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and overall operational performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities related to manufacturing operations and supply chain functions.
• Evaluate product costing, inventory, sourcing, and production-related initiatives to assess financial impact and business value.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks, opportunities, and key performance trends.
• Support business case development for new products, operational investments, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance and operational leadership to strengthen reporting, controls, and decision-support capabilities.
• Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and potential acquisition or integration activities as needed.
