TalentBridge is partnering with a large, complex organization to recruit a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting who will establish and lead a newly created technical accounting function. The role provides high-visibility leadership, guiding complex transactions and shaping policies and controls across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred/required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant technical accounting responsibilities.
• Experience combining public accounting and public-company industry roles.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to translate complex accounting issues into practical business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and analysis for complex transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, impairments, debt, equity.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda and position papers in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support internal control enhancements and remediation initiatives; strengthen accounting governance and documentation.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and processes for consistency and compliance.
• Evaluate new accounting standards and lead implementation across the organization.
• Partner with Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, and external auditors on technical matters.
• Build, mentor, and develop a technical accounting team while establishing scalable processes.

TalentBridge is partnering with a large, complex organization seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to help establish and lead a newly created technical accounting function.

This highly visible leadership opportunity will serve as a key technical accounting resource, providing guidance on complex transactions, strengthening accounting policies and internal controls, and driving process improvements across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of public accounting and industry experience, deep U.S. GAAP expertise, and the ability to translate complex accounting matters into practical business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and analysis for complex transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, impairments, debt, equity, and other non-routine matters.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda, position papers, and supporting documentation in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support internal control enhancements, remediation initiatives, and improvements to accounting governance and documentation.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Evaluate new accounting standards and lead implementation efforts across the organization.
• Partner with Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, and external auditors on technical accounting matters.
• Build, mentor, and develop a technical accounting team while establishing scalable processes and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; active CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant technical accounting responsibilities.
• Combination of public accounting and public-company industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting research, and preparation of audit-ready accounting memoranda.
• Experience with internal controls, remediation initiatives, financial restatements, or accounting transformation environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Big Four or national public accounting firm background.
• Experience supporting complex, multi-entity or international organizations.
• Background implementing accounting policies, improving internal controls, or leading technical accounting process enhancements.
