Job summary

The Boca Raton is seeking a Senior Manager of Programming to lead planning, development, coordination, and execution of member and guest events across the resort. You will partner with the Executive Director of Creative & Programming to deliver a robust year‑round calendar including experiences, concerts, festivals, and family activities.

The role combines leadership, budgeting, vendor relations, and cross‑department collaboration to deliver exceptional luxury experiences while mentoring staff

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the monthly resort activity calendar for members and guests.
  • Coordinate with resort departments to ensure programming is delivered seamlessly.
  • Develop and execute annual holiday programming and signature events.
  • Manage event timelines, production schedules, and communications.
  • Create event orders, function sheets, and operational resumes.
  • Serve as lead operational contact for designated events and activities.
  • Coordinate ticketing, registration, and attendance tracking.
  • Support budgeting, revenue tracking, forecasting, and post-event recaps.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and collateral.
  • Ensure contingency planning for weather and indoor alternatives.
  • Maintain records, reports, guest feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
  • Provide leadership during events, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
  • Support budget management and efficiency improvements.

Summary

The Senior Manager of Programming plays a key leadership role in supporting the planning, development, coordination, and execution of member and guest events, resort programming, entertainment, and holiday experiences across The Boca Raton.

This position works closely with the Executive Director of Creative & Programming to ensure the successful delivery of a robust year-round calendar of activities, special events, educational programs, family experiences, concerts, holiday celebrations, and resort entertainment. The Senior Manager of Programming serves as an operational leader, helping manage day-to-day programming logistics, staff supervision, departmental coordination, budgeting, guest engagement, and event execution.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented hospitality professional with a passion for delivering luxury experiences and creating memorable moments for members and guests. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating across departments, and possesses strong leadership and project management skills.

Essential Functions

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Executive Director in planning and executing the monthly resort activity calendar for members and guests.
  • Coordinate with resort departments including Recreation, Spa, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Retail, Marketing, and Club Operations to ensure programming is delivered seamlessly.
  • Assist in the development and execution of annual holiday programming, signature resort events, member events, entertainment series, educational programs, and special activations.
  • Manage event timelines and production schedules to ensure deadlines are met and all stakeholders remain informed.
  • Create and maintain event orders, function sheets, operational resumes, and communication documents for resort-wide distribution.
  • Serve as the lead operational contact for designated events and activities. As assigned.
  • Coordinate ticketing, registration, check-in processes, and event attendance tracking for resort programs and special events.
  • Support event budgeting, revenue tracking, forecasting, financial reporting, and post-event recaps.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on promotional campaigns, newsletters, digital communications, website updates, app integrations, and collateral development.
  • Coordinate entertainment schedules and programming communications across resort outlets.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships, including entertainers, production companies, rental vendors, consultants, and program providers.
  • Ensure appropriate contingency planning is in place for weather-related impacts and alternative indoor programming needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, participation reports, pace reports, guest feedback, and event performance metrics.
  • Address member and guest concerns professionally and proactively resolve service-related issues.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of new experiences and innovative programming concepts designed to elevate the luxury guest experience.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and supervising department staff and seasonal team members.
  • Provide leadership during events, weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods.
  • Support departmental budget management and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and increase profitability.
  • Ensure all programming activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and service expectations.
  • Attend company meetings, training sessions, and special functions as required.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Assist in supervising Resort Programming team members and event staff.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to employees.
  • Help establish departmental standards and operating procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative, guest-focused culture emphasizing service excellence and innovation.
  • Act on behalf of the Executive Director during periods of absence as assigned.
Internal Relationships

Reports to the Executive Director of Resort Events & Programming

External Relationships

Has regular contact with the guest and members of The Boca Raton. Maintains appropriate relationships with these and other constituencies to enhance the image of the Company and the attainment of its objectives.

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree Preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality, events, recreation programming, private clubs, cruise lines, destination resorts, or related industries.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required.
Physical Requirements

Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. frequently. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
