Position Summary

Position Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Research and Operations, the Senior Manager of Program Operations will be responsible for managing Ensemble Learning’s contracts from start to finish, ensuring deliverables are met and quality is maintained. The Senior Manager of Program Operations will work closely with the programming and operations teams to ensure projects of any size (from national, multi-state projects to smaller, single district projects) are executed well and with clarity.

COMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with experience between $100,000 to $120,000 per year + generous benefits.

LOCATION: This role is Remote working across the 4 US time zones. You can expect to travel up to 40% of the time, including company-wide gatherings twice per year for 3-5 days at a time.

Candidate Profile

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • 7 years of project management experience
  • 5 years of experience managing multi-site, multi-stakeholder, long-term projects
  • 5 years of experience implementing change at scale
  • Experience using and maintaining CRM records
  • (preferred) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
CRITICAL PROFESSIONAL CAPABILITIES
  • Meticulous record keeping including, but not limited to, project plans and meeting notes
  • Ability to influence and motivate a diverse team
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with multiple stakeholders with different objectives
  • Clear and direct written and oral communication
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the Managing Director of Programming’s scheduling and calendar (25%)
  • Manage a portfolio of projects of various size and duration nationwide (75%)
  • Manage site logistics for programming visits; coordinating with schools, internal team, and vendors
  • Maintain project documentation and records
  • Coordinate across internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure deliverables are met on time and with quality
  • Ensure faithful contract execution
  • Work closely with the growth and programming teams to ensure contracts are clearly defined and aligned

About the Organization

Ensemble Learning is a non-profit organization that provides professional learning, leadership coaching, instructional coaching, and strategic planning support to schools and districts across the nation focused on creating a better learning experience for ML students. We have a strong lens towards equity which includes addressing both instructional needs and school/classroom culture. Ensemble Learning has eleven employees.

Ensemble Learning has been in operation since 2016. During that time, we have served nearly 200 schools and districts across the nation reaching over 100,000 students and have earned 2 multi-million dollar US Department of Education federal contracts to support teachers and school leaders to transform their instruction and improve school and classroom culture. Currently, Ensemble Learning works with traditional public school districts, public charter schools and charter management organizations, and like-minded nonprofit organizations across the country, with most work in California, Texas, and Colorado.
