The ideal candidate will have substantial B2B marketing experience in healthtech, strong analytical skills, and a passion for clinical research.

Qualifications

  • Established experience in B2B marketing, healthtech, clinical trials software, or SaaS.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing high-performing demand generation campaigns that drive pipeline.
  • Experience building strategy for Account Based Marketing (ABM), SEO, email marketing, and digital demand generation tactics.

  • Design and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns including paid media, content marketing, email nurture programs, SEO, webinars, and events.
  • Own top and mid-funnel metrics (MQLs, conversion rates, database health), and report on performance regularly.
  • Optimize lead generation and conversion strategies, improving MQL-to-SQL conversion rates and pipeline velocity.
  • Segment and grow our marketing database; define and execute nurturing strategies aligned with buying stages and personas.

We’re modernizing the clinical research experience by delivering tools that simplify access, communication, and support for trial participants, especially those historically underserved in clinical research.

Role overview

As our team continues to grow, we’re now looking for a Director of Growth Marketing to join us. As the first growth marketing hire, this role will help shape the direction and strategy of this core marketing unit, and to execute on this strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across all our channels.

This critical role will report to Mural’s Chief Commercial Officer, and will work closely both with members of the marketing team and across multiple other functions. We are looking for a leader who is strategic, data-driven and innovative, and enjoys working cross functionally in a fast paced environment. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a high-leverage marketing function within a mission-driven startup.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Generation Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns including paid media, content marketing, email nurture programs, SEO, webinars, and events.
  • Own top and mid-funnel metrics (MQLs, conversion rates, database health), and report on performance regularly.
  • Optimize lead generation and conversion strategies, improving MQL-to-SQL conversion rates and pipeline velocity.
  • Segment and grow our marketing database; define and execute nurturing strategies aligned with buying stages and personas.
  • Lead account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives to target key Life Sciences accounts with personalized, multi-channel campaigns.
  • Formulate a paid media strategy, including identifying channel mix, testing approach, budget recommendations, and creative direction.
  • Drive the adoption of innovative marketing tools and technologies, including AI-powered marketing solutions

Brand Visibility & Thought Leadership

  • Shape a social media strategy that builds Mural Health’s voice and following in the clinical research and health innovation spaces, and collaborate with content marketing to track performance.
  • Partner with internal teams and industry experts to create thought leadership content (e.g., blogs, whitepapers, event recaps).
  • Guide content and communications team members in creating compelling narratives and content that resonate with target audiences, including clients, prospects, partners, and members.
  • Track market insights and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and differentiators and embed them into our marketing channels.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Established experience in B2B marketing, healthtech, clinical trials software, or SaaS.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing high-performing demand generation campaigns that drive pipeline.
  • Experience building strategy for Account Based Marketing (ABM), SEO, email marketing, and digital demand generation tactics (including paid marketing).
  • Proficiency with marketing management tools (e.g., Hubspot), CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to drive projects forward from strategy creation to execution and tracking.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Revenue Operations, and other cross-functional leadership.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about Mural’s mission and making it easier to be a clinical trial participant.
