Job summary

Go Fish Digital, LLC is seeking a Senior Manager of Generative Engine Optimization to lead GEO across client accounts, turning strategy into high-quality work spanning technical SEO, content, and entity optimization.

You’ll analyze AI search results, build recommendations, and coordinate delivery with cross-functional teams, mentoring juniors and sharing practical GEO insights as the space evolves.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, digital PR, or a related search discipline.
• Solid grounding in technical SEO, content optimization, structured data, and how search engines and AI systems retrieve and synthesize information.
• Interest in generative search, LLMs, and the evolving ways people discover and trust brands online.
• You can organize a messy question, investigate it with the right data and research, and turn it into a useful recommendation.
• You’re comfortable working with imperfect signals and know how to pair curiosity with practical judgment.

About the Role

Go Fish Digital is looking for a Senior Manager of Generative Engine Optimization to join our team. As Senior Manager of GEO, you’ll help make GEO real for our clients. You’ll turn strategy into organized, high-quality work across technical SEO, content, Digital PR, and entity optimization.

You’ll be hands-on in the work: analyzing how brands appear across AI search experiences, building recommendations, coordinating delivery, and helping clients understand what the data is telling us.

You’ll bring curiosity and follow-through to a quickly changing space, working with a supportive team that is building the next chapter of search marketing.

What You'll Do

• Support GEO strategy and execution across a portfolio of client accounts, connecting recommendations to business goals and search opportunities.
• Conduct research across AI search results, brand mentions, citations, entities, competitors, and content gaps.
• Build actionable roadmaps and briefs covering technical SEO, content, structured data, entity optimization, and authority-building opportunities.

Client Impact & Delivery

• Prepare client-ready analyses, recommendations, reporting, and presentation materials that make complex topics easy to understand.
• Lead or support regular client meetings, communicating progress, insights, risks, and opportunities with confidence.
• Coordinate with internal specialists to keep GEO deliverables on track, accurate, and aligned with broader account strategy.
• Help turn successful work into repeatable approaches, templates, and case-study inputs.
• Work closely with SEO, Content, Digital PR, Analytics, Paid, and Social teams to connect GEO recommendations to broader marketing programs.
• Support and mentor junior team members, offering thoughtful feedback and helping strengthen GEO fundamentals.
• Contribute to shared playbooks, processes, and internal training that make GEO delivery more consistent.
• Flag recurring client needs, operational gaps, and emerging opportunities to GEO leadership.

Data & Insights

• Track and interpret GEO performance signals, including visibility, citations, brand mentions, entity coverage, and organic-search trends.
• Partner with Analytics to develop reporting that helps clients make informed decisions.
• Use data and qualitative search observations to prioritize the work most likely to improve visibility and authority.
• Translate findings into clear recommendations rather than simply reporting what changed.
• Support proposals, audits, and new-business materials by identifying relevant GEO opportunities and contributing thoughtful recommendations.
• Contribute ideas, examples, and learnings that sharpen our GEO service offering and agency point of view.
• Share GEO learnings in internal and client-facing content.

What You Bring
