Job description

About The Department

Our Marketing & Patient Solutions group creates and delivers human-centered experiences, where innovation meets customer-centricity, driving the ultimate experience for our patients. Our focus extends beyond transactions to craft experiences as one fully integrated, aligned and connected organization that puts empathy at the center, powered by insight and foresight.

We develop an end-to-end approach to strategy, focusing on every touchpoint that impacts our customers. We leverage data and insights to inform our decision‑making processes, ensuring that our strategies are rooted in a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviours. Our ‘test and learn’ mindset and approach enables us to iterate rapidly and refine our strategies based on real-world results.

We are building an intentional team culture that is made up of diverse skillsets, united by the shared belief that reinvention and learning is what fuels continuous growth. Do you get excited about exploring the unknown? Does the idea of driving value through human‑centered design pull you in? Are you ready to experiment with us?

The Position

Every month, consumers enter the journey with clear intent and then encounter friction across access, prescription, fulfillment, onboarding and ongoing engagement. This role exists to identify where the biggest opportunities are, mobilise the right teams against them, and prove what improves conversion.

The Senior Manager, Funnel Performance & Optimization

The Senior Manager, Funnel Performance & Optimization owns the performance of the consumer funnel. You will define how progression is measured, identify and quantify the most important drop‑off points, size the opportunity behind them, and build the prioritized optimization agenda that focuses the organization on the highest‑value problems.

This is a growth and conversion role inside the business, not an analytics, journey‑design or behavioural‑science role. Insights & Analytics provides the data, infrastructure and analytical expertise. Journey Design and Behavioural Science help diagnose consumer friction and design the interventions most likely to address it. You connect those capabilities to business performance: defining the problem, establishing the opportunity and success measure, prioritising what gets tackled, coordinating experimentation across execution teams, and determining whether the intervention worked.

Success means creating a disciplined cycle of measure, prioritise, diagnose, test, learn and improve, and continuously raising the performance of the end‑to‑end consumer funnel.

Relationships

Reports to the Director of Customer Experience & Conversion Excellence. This is an individual‑contributor role that leads analytics and experimentation workstreams and manages related vendors. It has no direct reports. Works with Insights & Analytics, martech, Omnichannel, brand teams, MAPA, IT and Digital, and Finance.

Essential Functions

Own Funnel Performance: Define and maintain the end‑to‑end funnel, stages and business KPIs across consumer intent, access, prescription, fulfillment, onboarding and sustained engagement. Establish a clear view of how consumers progress and where performance is changing.

Identify and Size Opportunities: Find the most significant points of drop‑off and friction, quantify the consumer and business opportunity behind them, and distinguish meaningful conversion opportunities from noise.

Prioritise the Optimization Agenda: Maintain a prioritized funnel optimization roadmap based on expected impact, confidence, urgency and effort. Create clarity on which problems the organization should address first and why.

Translate Opportunities into Actionable Briefs: Turn identified funnel opportunities into clear briefs for Journey Design, Behavioural Science, CRM, App & Web, Membership, brand, access and other execution teams, defining the performance problem, target behaviour, opportunity size, hypothesis and success measure.

Lead the Experimentation Portfolio: Own the conversion experiment backlog, prioritisation, measurement approach and performance readout. Partner with Journey Design, Behavioural Science and channel owners on intervention and test design, ensuring experiments have clear hypotheses, appropriate rigor and actionable results.

Mobilise Cross‑Functional Execution: Work across teams that own different stages and consumer surfaces to move priority interventions into execution, clarify ownership and dependencies, create momentum, and elevate barriers when required.

Connect Demand to Conversion: Partner with brand and Omnichannel teams to understand the quality and intent of incoming demand and ensure acquisition activity connects to consumer experiences that support progression through the funnel.

Measure Impact and Reprioritise: Determine whether interventions produced meaningful improvement, separate correlation from impact where possible, capture learnings from both successful and unsuccessful tests, and continuously redirect effort toward the highest‑return opportunities.

Create Performance Visibility: Establish a regular view of funnel performance for CMES leadership that shows where performance is improving or declining, the opportunities currently being addressed, what has been learned, and what the organization should do next.
