Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Manager of Franchise Accounting to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a valid CPA, strong corporate accounting expereince and strong experience with GAAP.

The Senior Manager of Franchise Accounting role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

Senior Manager of Franchise Accounting Essential Responsibilities

Franchise Financial Reporting:

  • Manage all financial reporting for franchise operations, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure precise and timely recording of franchise-related income and expenses, such as franchise fees, royalties, and other relevant financial transactions.
  • Analyze and review franchise revenue streams, including performance-based incentives, royalties, and contributions to marketing funds.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, focusing on franchise profitability, performance trends, and key financial insights.

Accounting and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, franchise-specific accounting standards, and local regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee accurate revenue recognition related to franchise agreements, including initial franchise fees, ongoing royalties, and other contractual obligations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard against errors or fraud in franchise-related transactions.

Franchisee Support and Communication:

  • Act as the primary financial point of contact between the corporate finance team and franchisees.
  • Offer guidance to franchisees on financial matters, including accounting policies, reporting protocols, and best practices.
  • Review and approve financial reports submitted by franchisees, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the information.
  • Address and resolve any financial discrepancies or disputes between the corporate office and franchisees.

Leadership & Process Improvement:

  • Lead process optimization initiatives in franchise accounting workflows, utilizing technology to improve efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and forecasts for the franchise division, working closely with operations and other departments.
  • Participate in system upgrades and enhancements to ensure franchise accounting practices remain efficient, effective, and compliant.

Senior Manager of Franchise Accounting Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3–5 years in franchise accounting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, franchise accounting standards, and healthcare-specific financial practices.
  • Experience in a franchise environment, particularly within a healthcare or healthcare services company.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
