Job summary

HiveWatch is seeking a Sr. Manager of Engineering to lead a high-performing SRE/DevOps squad from our HQ in El Segundo, CA. You will report to the VP of Engineering and ensure service level objectives are met to delight customers.

You will mentor, lead, and grow software and infrastructure engineers in a Series B environment, collaborating with product, sales, and marketing to turn roadmaps into executable plans.

Qualifications

• Expert hiring manager skills and experience.
• A well developed people management philosophy for engineers.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers with high-touch deployments and uptime expectations.
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones (US plus Europe or LATAM).
• Has directly owned performance management cycles, including coaching, leveling, and exiting under performers.
• Preferred: experience scaling an engineering org through Series B to C growth.
• Agile/kanban project management skills.
• Commitment to understand, communicate and improve the quality of multiple teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sr. Manager of Engineering, you will be managing a high-performing SRE/DevOps squad of engineers covering our product value streams from our HQ in El Segundo, CA.This role will report directly to our VP, Engineering. This team will be responsible for making sure our service level objectives are met to delight our customers. You will mentor, lead, and grow our team of software and infra engineers while operating effectively in a Series B environment—comfortable with ambiguity, lean process, and rolling up your sleeves into code, design reviews, or incident response when the situation calls for it.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, 3+ years of leadership experience
• 3+ years production operations experience
• Strong debugging skills across distributed systems and microservices architectures

ADDITIONAL INFO

• Salary range for this position: $203,000 to $250,000 per year
• Eligible to participate in HiveWatch Equity Incentive Plan
