What You'll Do

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager, North America Transportation to lead our domestic transportation operations across all modes. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of a complex multimodal network with a strong focus on Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) delivery performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in freight movement, proven leadership skills, and a history of driving savings, service, and process transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Multimodal Transportation Strategy

  • Lead and optimize a North American transportation network including LTL, FTL, parcel, intermodal, and final-mile operations.
  • Ensure service quality, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across all modes.
  • Oversee DTC transportation initiatives with a focus on e-commerce and omnichannel fulfillment.
  • Ensure customer experience, delivery accuracy, and on-time performance are consistently met.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing transportation team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee Transportation Management System (TMS) implementation and optimization.
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure system capabilities align with business needs.

P&L Management

  • Own transportation budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide financial oversight and ensure cost performance across transportation modes.

Cost Savings & Network Optimization

  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives and process improvements.
  • Lead carrier negotiations while maintaining or improving service levels.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Distribution, Sales, Planning, and Customer Service to align transportation with broader business goals.
  • Manage relationships with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Monitor KPIs and enforce compliance with service-level agreements.

What You'll Bring

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in domestic multimodal transportation management
  • Strong track record with Direct-to-Consumer logistics programs
  • Proven success implementing and optimizing TMS platforms
  • P&L ownership and experience managing transportation budgets
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Effective in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in high-growth, consumer-facing industries (e.g., e-commerce, retail, CPG)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics tools
  • Excellent communication and project management capabilities

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel required - up to 20% within North America
  • Flexibility to support time zone coordination across regions
