Job ID: 10507414 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.
AGS NAMER Migration/Modernization is a CxO and senior IT leaders’ advisory function within NAMER BD that helps AWS customers accelerate their migration and modernization outcomes leveraging AWS cloud and AI services. The team partners with field Sales, BD, WW and NAMER Specialists, Solutions Architects, Customer Solution Managers, Professional Services, and partners to convert compelling customer events into strategic migration/modernization engagements, supporting customer executive decision‑making on AWS cloud and AI services adoption. The team drives multi‑billion‑dollar ARR qualified pipeline creation and launch for large migrations/modernizations, supporting these opportunities with structured migration/modernization methods, tools, and approaches to deliver consistent outcomes. This role leads a team of senior migration/modernization advisors aligned to multiple NAMER business units. The role owns team strategy, talent, operating model, and engagement quality across NAMER, while directly leading/supporting complex migration/modernization engagements for must‑win migration/modernization opportunities and priority customers. Responsibilities include defining team priorities, authoring methods and tools that scale across the function, continuous learning & development, engaging with the CxO and IT executives at strategic accounts and deals, supporting field activation with migration/modernization content and enablement, and influencing AWS Sales, BD, product, Specialist, and partner stakeholders to grow the migration/modernization business at the assigned divisions. Success is measured by meeting migration/modernization related goals and KPIs for the assigned NAMER business divisions working with the #oneteam of stakeholders, including large migration/modernization pipeline creation, launch, migration velocity and revenue attainment, and migration/modernization metrics for priority strategic workloads, such as VMWare, Mainframe, Database migrations, etc. The right candidate has led teams that sell, scope and deliver migration/modernization engagements to enterprise customers. Candidate must have deep experience in migration/modernization assessments, business case development, team mobilization and change management, cloud foundation building, migration/modernization tools inclusive of newer AI/agentic tooling for modernization, and CxO and IT leaders’ engagement. The candidate has built or scaled a migration/modernization function and team — operating model, competencies, engagement standards — not just executed within one. The candidate must be hands‑on, capable of leading ‘migration/modernization as‑a‑business’ for the assigned NAMER divisions working with the #oneteam of stakeholders. The candidate operates with high judgment, navigates ambiguity, and translates customer signals into structured experiments, followed by successful motions that scale. The candidate is right a lot, invents and simplifies, earns trust with senior executives (internal and external), and delivers results in a complex matrix org.
