Job summary

Bausch + Lomb in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Electronics Design Group within a surgical equipment R&D organization. You will oversee electronic system design for Class II/III medical devices and ensure quality and manufacturability of PCB and cable designs.

The role requires strong leadership, IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 familiarity, and collaboration across software, mechanical, and quality teams. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7-10+ years of experience in electrical systems design in the medical device industry.
• Strong understanding of IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and regulatory requirements for Class II electronic medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers, designers and technicians.
• Maintain portfolio of 50+ mixed-signal PCBs, including cable interconnections.
• Drive architecture, design, and implementation of electronics hardware for complex medical devices.
• Provide estimates of design project resources, time requirements and risks to NPD project managers.
• Oversee all phases of the product development lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304.
