What You Will Do

Accountable for growth and development of the Mizani haircare business across its professional and consumer channels, while leading one direct report. Responsible for the strategy, implementation, and evaluation of go to market initiatives, including the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, including all promotional activities as well as working with advocacy and influencer teams to build brand awareness and preference. Interact effectively with departments such as: sales, operations, finance, education, public relations, marketing services, creative, sales administration, global marketing team and senior management team. Monitor and analyze business results to recommend opportunities for improving plans and their execution.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Own vision & strategy for Mizani and L’Oreal Technique brands. Work with cross functional teams to execute key initiatives to drive brand growth
  • Ensure that launches and brand initiatives are delivered on time and on budget. Strive for executional excellence on all marketing activations.
  • Own category support calendar and plan including key promotions, in store merchandising, 360 support plans, activations and digital elements.
  • Work with Brand Engagement lead to build relevant advocacy and influencer programs
  • Proactively own sales results and category analytics to diagnose the business.
  • Develop forecast for Mizani and LT, track and re-trend as needed.
  • Develop pricing strategy and SKU rationalization strategy. Route through necessary approval channels to meet account needs.
  • Prepare and deliver presentation to sales and distributor teams.
  • Understand market share gaps for both professional and consumer markets, identify white space and strategies to gain share and outperform competition.
  • Conduct marketing research, follow up on campaigns and launches, and provide Senior Management team with regular quantitative and qualitative reports.
  • Responsible for management meeting prep.

Required Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 5-7 years brand management experience, preferably with beauty industry-related experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and forecasting experience.
  • Strong execution, leadership and consensus building/decision making skills.
  • Computer expertise on Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to travel domestically periodically (max. 25%).
