We are recruiting for a newly created leadership position with a global automation and advanced technology manufacturer generating more than $1 billion in revenue. Created to support continued growth, this opportunity combines deep manufacturing accounting expertise with direct influence on product profitability, operational performance and the financial processes supporting an expanding global business.

The company develops technology used in semiconductor production and other demanding manufacturing environments. Investment in AI infrastructure, advanced computing and increasingly sophisticated chips is creating significant opportunities for the automation technologies that help manufacturers increase capacity, improve precision and operate more efficiently.

For an experienced cost accounting professional, this is an opportunity to bring your expertise into an industry undergoing substantial investment—and help a growing business translate that opportunity into stronger financial performance.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Established scale with continued investment. Join a global manufacturer investing in production capabilities, product innovation and its next stage of growth.
  • Meaningful influence on the business. Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain to understand what drives costs and turn that understanding into better decisions.
  • The opportunity to shape how the function operates. Strengthen costing processes, improve inventory visibility and develop reporting that helps leaders identify issues and act sooner.
  • Leadership with technical depth. Develop team members while remaining closely involved in product costing, manufacturing economics and operational problem-solving.
  • Experience that can broaden your career. Build exposure to global operations, complex products and cross-functional leadership as the company expands.
The Role

As Senior Manager, you will lead financial reporting & cost analysis / accounting priorities within a global manufacturing finance organization, combining accurate financial reporting with practical business partnership. Your work will help explain how purchasing decisions, production activity, engineering changes and inventory movements affect costs, margins and financial results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strengthen product costing: Oversee standard cost maintenance and support annual cost rolls, reviewing material, labor and overhead assumptions alongside bills of materials, production routings and manufacturing processes.
  • Turn variances into action: Investigate purchase price, material usage, labor, overhead and work order variances; identify underlying causes and partner with operating teams on corrective actions.
  • Improve margin visibility: Explain product and manufacturing margin performance, connect results to operational drivers and highlight opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Support sound inventory accounting:Ensure reliable inventory valuation, reconciliations and reporting, with attention to reserves and the relationship between inventory, cost of goods sold and cash flow.
  • Partner through change: Evaluate the cost implications of new products, engineering modifications, sourcing decisions and changes in manufacturing activity.
  • Maintain financial discipline: Support monthly, quarterly and annual close; review journal entries and supporting schedules; strengthen controls and support audit requirements.
  • Develop people and processes: Coach team members and improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of costing and reporting through stronger ERP practices, analytics and automation.
What You Bring
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience and substantial depth in manufacturing cost and inventory finance.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard costing, bills of materials, routings, material usage, labor, overhead absorption, purchase price variance and manufacturing variances.
  • The ability to connect activity on the manufacturing floor to inventory valuation, financial statements and product profitability.
  • Experience managing, supervising or developing team members, combined with the willingness to work through technical details.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with an enterprise ERP system such as Oracle or a comparable platform.
  • Experience using analytics, automation or AI-enabled productivity tools to improve reporting and analysis.
  • Clear communication and the ability to work productively with both finance colleagues and operational leaders.

Experience with Oracle Fusion, Power BI, Adaptive, SOX controls or annual standard cost rolls would be valuable. A CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus.

Backgrounds in semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, electronics or other complex manufacturing businesses are welcome. Strong transferable manufacturing accounting experience is highly relevant.
