Job summary

Alterra is seeking a Lift Maintenance Lead at June Mountain, CA, to ensure safe lift operation and oversee maintenance programs. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, leadership of crews, and coordination with regulators.

You will spend about 80% of time outdoors with crews, supervising lift construction and maintenance, and managing budgets and capital projects. OSHA safety knowledge and strong technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Yan and Doppelmayer experience required.
• Advanced technical experience such as rigging for splices and destructive testing using multiple techniques.
• Engineering background a plus and state engineering certificate a plus.
• Outside operations experience a plus.
• Heavy equipment certification a plus – Crane, Class A, or Class B.
• Has demonstrated effective training, coaching, and correcting required.
• Master mechanic in one or several lift systems such as electrical, drive, or mechanical.
• Ability to manage budgets and capital projects associated with lift construction and maintenance required.
• Must be able to spend 80% of working hours outdoors with crews.
• Developed, coordinated, scheduled summer maintenance plans for both fixed grip and detachable lifts.
• Recruit and hire lift maintenance personnel.
• Can develop working relationship with State Tramway Board and firm understanding of state requirements preferred.
• Strong familiarity and working knowledge with OSHA and safety practices.
• Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, and email

Pay: $85,489.17 - $90,916.88 per year
