Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Senior Manager, Lab Ops to join our rapidly growing consumer health tech startup. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth, scalable execution of our lab partnerships and directly impacts the quality and reliability of our member experience. The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-oriented, with a strong grasp of operational best practices, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day performance of our lab operations, own key external relationships, use insights to continuously optimize internal workflows, and collaborate closely with internal teams for productization and experience improvement. This role will also be instrumental in helping us scale lab and testing infrastructure as we grow and expand new partnerships.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working through ambiguity, complex data visualization, meticulous in their attention to detail, self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. As an early member of our team, your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the future of our member experience as we scale from currently thousands of members to millions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Own seamless execution across all existing lab partnerships, ensuring consistent performance, timely issue resolution, and delivery against KPIs.
- Scalability Planning: Proactively identify how to evolve and scale lab operations to support company growth, working cross-functionally to anticipate operational needs.
- New Lab Onboarding: Lead operational ramp-up and process integration for new labs post-handoff from the Strategic Expansion team.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact with our lab partners, building strong, collaborative relationships and maintaining alignment on performance goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape the productization of lab services and improve member experience based on operational feedback.
- Team Management: Directly manage a Lab Operations Manager and Ops Associate(s), ensuring team alignment, performance tracking, and professional development.
- Data-Driven Process Improvement: Use operational data to identify inefficiencies, surface trends, and implement improvements that enhance turnaround time, service quality, and scalability.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Has 10+ years of experience in operations roles with a proven track record of leading teams and scaling processes in fast-paced environments.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, logistics, or similarly regulated, process-driven fields.
- Strong vendor and relationship management skills, with the ability to own and grow external partnerships.
- Highly data-driven, using metrics and analysis to drive performance and continuous improvement.
- Skilled at balancing long-term strategy with hands-on execution, especially in dynamic, cross-functional settings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to align teams and drive accountability.
