Job summary

Stealth Startup in New York City seeks a strategic Sr. IT Manager to lead Network and Systems Infrastructure in a fully cloud-connected environment.

You will set the vision for network operations, AWS-hosted infrastructure, enterprise DNS, and VPN across multiple offices. You will mentor two Senior Network Engineers and two Systems Engineers while partnering with Information Security and the Service Desk to improve reliability, security, and performance as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across on-premises and cloud networks.
• 4+ years leading technical teams and setting roadmaps.
• Strong DNS, IPSec/VPN, BGP/OSPF, AWS VPC, and hybrid cloud knowledge.
• Experience with monitoring tools like ThousandEyes and Grafana.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments is a plus.

Sr. IT Manager, Infrastructure & Network Operations

Position:

We are looking for a strategic Sr. IT Manager to lead our Network and Systems Infrastructure organization across a fully cloud-connected environment. In this role, you will set the vision for network operations, AWS-hosted infrastructure, enterprise DNS architecture, and VPN across multiple office locations, empowering a skilled team to execute. Our organization is exploding with growth.

In this position you will manage a team of two Senior Network Engineers and two Systems Engineers, with close partnership across Information Security, IT Enterprise Applications, and the Service Desk.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing infrastructure team. Define goals, drive career
• growth, and own the infrastructure roadmap in partnership with IT leadership.
• Establish the strategic direction for network infrastructure, including Meraki, Palo Alto, AWS VPC and Transit Gateway, and enterprise DNS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across all office and cloud environments.
• Provide oversight and guidance on AWS environments supporting microservices and Kubernetes workloads.
• Champion best practices for hybrid connectivity and cloud architecture, enabling the team to execute effectively.
• Partner with InfoSec on governance frameworks, security posture, and incident response strategy.
• Collaborate with the Service Desk to reduce recurring incidents and build organizational
• capability over time.
• Drive architecture documentation standards, lead root cause analysis reviews, manage key vendor relationships, and contribute to infrastructure budgeting and lifecycle planning.

Desired Experience:

• 7+ years of experience across on-premises and cloud network environments, including 4+ years leading technical teams.
• Sufficient technical grounding in DNS architecture, IPSec/VPN, BGP/OSPF, AWS VPC, and hybrid cloud to lead expert engineers and make sound architectural decisions.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as ThousandEyes and Grafana.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized environments is a plus.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to translate technical complexity for leadership, manage vendor relationships, and align cross-functional partners.
