What You’ll Do

This role owns the Company’s U.S. international tax compliance and global transfer pricing programs and provides tax reconciliation and reporting support to the broader accounting organization. This hands-on senior manager role is accountable for preparing and reviewing complex calculations, managing the compliance calendar end to end, directing external tax advisors as an informed reviewer, and providing technical guidance to internal stakeholders and developing team members. The role requires independent judgment, senior-level technical tax knowledge, and the ability to influence domestic and international business partners to obtain timely, accurate information.

Responsibilities
  • Own the international tax compliance calendar end to end, including scoping, data timelines, review checkpoints, payments, and filing confirmation.
  • Manage U.S. international informational filings prepared by external advisors, including Forms 5471, 8858, and 8865, K-2/K-3 reporting, foreign tax credit schedules, Subpart F, and GILTI-related calculations.
  • Coordinate with foreign finance teams to obtain trial balances, statutory financial statements, and supporting documentation on a defined schedule.
  • Monitor foreign local compliance obligations, confirm filings are completed by local advisors, and elevate gaps or exposures.
  • Track relevant international tax developments and summarize the impact on the Company’s footprint for tax and finance leadership.
  • Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations for foreign jurisdictions in accordance with ASC 740, including the preparation of tax provision journal entries, supporting schedules, and related account reconciliations.
  • Own the annual transfer pricing documentation cycle, including data gathering, functional and economic analysis input, review of draft reports, and internal sign-off.
  • Maintain intercompany agreement inventories and confirm intercompany charges, cost allocations, markups, balances, and settlement activity align with transfer pricing policy.
  • Identify structural or operational changes that require a transfer pricing policy update and raise them proactively.
  • Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts, prepare book-to-tax adjustments and taxable income reconciliations related to foreign operations, and support cash tax forecasting for international activities, including withholding tax and cash repatriation considerations.
  • Coordinate international and withholding tax payments and confirm proper recording in the general ledger.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for external tax advisors on international and transfer pricing matters, managing scope, timelines, quality, and fees.
  • Partner with domestic tax compliance, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, operating business unit finance leaders, foreign finance teams, and external advisors to obtain and validate tax-sensitive information.
  • Design and maintain standardized workpapers, data request templates, documented compliance calendars, and process improvements using ERP, reporting, and automation tools.
Qualifications
Experience:
  • 7+ years of progressive tax experience, including substantive U.S. international tax and transfer pricing responsibility.
  • Public accounting foundation strongly preferred—national or large regional firm—ideally serving privately held or multinational clients; corporate tax department experience valued.
  • Demonstrated experience running compliance cycles independently and managing external advisors as the accountable owner.
  • Experience coordinating with foreign finance teams across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.
  • Track record of building or improving tax processes, workpapers, or data collection routines.
Education & Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA preferred. A Master of Science in Taxation or LLM in Taxation may be considered in lieu of CPA where relevant experience is strong.
  • Advanced tax degree (MST) preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Practical working knowledge of U.S. international tax concepts, including foreign-source income, foreign tax credits, Subpart F, GILTI, K-2/K-3 reporting, and foreign informational filings.
  • Hands-on transfer pricing experience: documentation cycles, intercompany pricing and cost allocation mechanics, and intercompany agreement administration.
  • Strong general ledger, account reconciliation, and book-to-tax adjustment skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and analysis of large data sets.
  • ERP experience required; Oracle ERP Cloud preferred. Familiarity with workflow automation or data preparation tools is a plus.
