Job summary

CLEAR is seeking a Senior Manager of Industrial Engineering to join its Central Operations team in New York. You will own engineered labor standards, staffing models, capacity planning and demand forecasts, turning data into actionable decisions that improve throughput and member experience.

Your role will partner with Operations, Finance, Workforce Management, and airport stakeholders to design scalable industrial engineering standards across CLEAR’s experiences and programs.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years in industrial engineering or related analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
• Experience in a physical operations environment (transportation, retail, aviation, or similar).
• Strong quantitative modeling and forecasting skills.
• Ability to translate data into actionable operational recommendations.
• Experience with Lean methodology and process improvement.

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Industrial Engineering to join CLEAR's Central Operations team. This role is the quantitative backbone of our Experience & Operations Design function — owning the data-driven design standards, labor models, and capacity planning that determine how CLEAR's physical operation is structured and staffed. You will be the analytical engine behind lane design decisions, engineered labor standards, and demand forecasts, ensuring the operation is designed to deliver a consistently excellent member experience efficiently at scale.

What you'll do:

• Develop and own engineered labor standards and staffing models across CLEAR’s physical experiences, including Verifier, Greeter, eGate, Concierge, TSA PreCheck, Enrollment, Sports, and new programs, serving as the operations source of truth for labor and headcount inputs
• Define physical operating requirements and sizing standards across lane configurations, verification and enrollment experiences, hardware placement, and queue management; lead checkpoint design for new and existing airport locations
• Lead demand forecasting and capacity planning across CLEAR experiences, modeling throughput, staffing requirements, operating hours, and operational impact for new programs, launches, surge periods, and events
• Drive operational efficiency through time studies, process analysis, and labor optimization, identifying and developing opportunities to improve productivity, capacity, and the Member experience across the network
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Workforce Management, and airport and airline stakeholders to translate quantitative analysis into operating decisions, facility requirements, and scalable Industrial Engineering standards

How you'll measure success:

• Accuracy and effectiveness of engineered labor standards, staffing models, and capacity forecasts
• Improved labor efficiency and throughput while maintaining a consistently excellent Member experience
• Successful operational design and capacity planning for new locations, programs, and experience launches
• Measurable efficiency gains generated through process improvement and labor optimization initiatives

What you're great at:

• 6-8+ years of experience in industrial engineering, operations research, workforce planning, or a related analytical function
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field
• Experience in a physical operations environment (transportation, retail, hospitality, aviation, or similar)
• Excellent quantitative skills — proficiency in capacity modeling, time studies, and labor standard development
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python, or similar); experience building forecasting models preferred
• Ability to translate technical analysis into clear, actionable operational recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Lean methodology and process improvement frameworks

The base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $175,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units.
