Job summary

The Senior Manager of Inclusion and Special Services leads special education, MTSS, and inclusion practices across multiple schools. You will partner with school leaders to strengthen instructional practices, ensure compliant services, and support students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring IEPs, compliance, data analysis, and coaching staff to improve outcomes while collaborating with curriculum, operations, and talent teams. This role shapes equity across the district.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid state certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE)/Special Education.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in special education.
  • Demonstrated experience leading school-based or district-level special education programs.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations, including IDEA, Section 504, ADA, FERPA, and state compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of MTSS, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and inclusive instructional practices.
  • Experience overseeing IEP development, implementation, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to analyze student achievement, compliance, and operational data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coaching and developing special education teachers.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with staff, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Special Education (ESE), Section 504, MTSS across all schools.
  • Ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state regulations, and district policies.
  • Monitor the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), evaluation timelines, eligibility determinations, and service delivery.
  • Analyze compliance, academic, attendance, discipline, and program data to identify trends and develop improvement plans.
  • Develop and implement systems that promote inclusive practices and equitable access to rigorous instruction for students with disabilities.
  • Coach and support ESE Leads, Learning Specialists, and related service providers to strengthen instructional and compliance practices.
  • Conduct school visits to monitor instructional quality, student supports, and compliance with special education requirements.
  • Facilitate problem‑solving meetings and provide guidance for complex student cases.
  • Lead professional development for school staff on special education, inclusion, compliance, intervention strategies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with curriculum, school culture, operations, enrollment, and talent teams to ensure coordinated support for students.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, guidance documents, and operational systems that ensure consistency across schools.
  • Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluation of special education and student support staff.
  • Ensure schools are prepared for state monitoring, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Respond to parent concerns and facilitate resolution of complex student issues in collaboration with school staff.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and inclusion across all schools.

Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Inclusion and Special Services provides leadership and oversight for special education, student support services, and inclusive practices across multiple schools. This role ensures students receive high-quality, legally compliant services that support their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.

The Senior Manager partners with school leaders and support staff to strengthen instructional practices, build staff capacity, and improve outcomes for students with diverse learning needs. This role oversees special education programs, monitors compliance with federal and state regulations, analyzes data to drive improvement, and provides coaching and support to school-based teams.

Specific Position Duties
  • Provide strategic leadership for Special Education (ESE), Section 504, MTSS across all schools.
