Job description

Company Overview

At Glass Meadows, Inc., our goal is to cultivate and produce the highest-quality cannabis products, providing safe, effective and consistent experiences for our customers. We are committed to sustainable and responsible cultivation and manufacturing practices and use technology and innovation to produce premium products while minimizing our environmental impact.

We are a growing company establishing our roots in New Jersey and are looking for high-quality individuals interested in helping build an organization within an evolving and highly regulated industry.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to support employees and leaders across our cultivation, manufacturing, retail and corporate functions. This individual will help strengthen our management practices, employee experience and organizational capabilities as the company continues to grow.

Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Human Resources will serve as the principal internal HR advisor to Glass Meadows leadership, managers and employees across multiple locations and business functions.

This is a hands-on role focused on workforce planning, talent acquisition and development, manager coaching, performance management, employee relations, culture and engagement. Working closely with company leaders, the Senior Manager will help translate business priorities into practical people strategies and consistent management practices.

Glass Meadows will retain a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to administer many transactional HR services, including payroll processing, benefits enrollment and administration, HRIS support, leave administration and related compliance processes. The Senior Manager will serve as the company’s internal owner and primary point of coordination for these services, ensuring that the PEO and other external partners execute their responsibilities accurately, responsively and consistently.

The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between planning, manager coaching and hands-on problem-solving. This person must be able to establish credibility with executives, managers and frontline employees while understanding the distinct operating needs of cultivation, manufacturing, retail and corporate teams.

This is a hybrid, multi-site position requiring regular weekly travel to Glass Meadows locations throughout New Jersey. The position is not based exclusively at the Newton cultivation facility. Administrative work may be performed remotely when appropriate based on employee, operational and business needs.

Manage or oversee job descriptions, postings, applicant review, initial screenings, interview coordination, candidate evaluation and offer development. Coordinate the information required for payroll, benefits, HRIS, leave administration, workers compensation, unemployment claims and other HR processes. Monitor service quality, resolve escalated issues and confirm that approved employee changes are processed accurately and promptly
  • Compensation and Benefits Support: Support compensation benchmarking, job leveling and salary recommendations. Work with leadership, the PEO and benefits brokers to evaluate benefit offerings, plan utilization, employee feedback, market trends and cost considerations. Help employees and managers navigate escalated payroll or benefit matters when coordination with an external partner is required
