Job summary

Lutron Electronics seeks a strategic, hands-on Senior Human Resources Manager based in Austin, TX, to support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Distribution across multiple Austin sites. The role partners with executive leadership to design and implement HR strategies, drives leadership development, performance, and organizational design, and ensures compliance and employee relations excellence.

You will collaborate with COEs, travel up to 20%, and help shape a high-performance culture at Lutron

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required; an MBA is a plus.
• 20+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience required.
• Proven experience supporting hourly employee populations in operational environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in Employee Relations and People Development.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, primarily to Lutron Electronics facilities in Pennsylvania.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require visa sponsorship for this position.

• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee development.
• Lead organizational design discussions to align structures with business needs.
• Oversee performance management, compensation reviews, promotions, and year-end evaluations.
• Provide coaching to leaders on performance management and talent development.
• Design and improve HR solutions with COEs to meet workforce needs.
• Partner with COEs (Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
• Identify leadership capability gaps and deploy targeted development solutions with Learning and Talent Development teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior leaders, providing expert counsel, organizational effectiveness guidance, and data-driven insights to enable high performance, scalability, and leadership effectiveness.
• Apply sound judgment and deep HR expertise to navigate and resolve complex employee relations and organizational issues involving multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, employee development, and engagement while championing Lutron Electronics core principles, values, and culture across the organization.
• Lead and influence organizational design discussions in partnership with leadership to ensure structures, roles, and capabilities align with current and future business needs.
• Oversee and provide strategic guidance on performance management, compensation reviews, promotions, year-end evaluations, employee relations matters, and accommodation requests, ensuring consistency, equity, and compliance.
• Provide senior-level coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee development, career progression, corrective actions, and talent planning.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve HR solutions, programs, and policies in partnership with Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) to meet evolving organizational and workforce needs.
• Partner with HR COEs including Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Talent Development to deliver integrated, high-impact HR and talent solutions.
• Assess organizational and leadership capability gaps and partner with Learning and Talent Development teams to develop and deploy targeted development solutions, leveraging prior Talent Development leadership experience where applicable.
• Promote positive employee relations through proactive, high-touch communication and stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organization.
