Overview

The Senior Manager plays a pivotal role within Montefiore’s Transformation Office, guiding system-wide initiatives that advance growth, improve efficiency, foster innovation, and build agility. This position provides program-level consultation on internal business operations to support Montefiore’s long-term vision, strategic priorities, and organizational performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop Management Engineers, Project Managers, and other HSE team members to deliver measurable outcomes across transformation initiatives.
  • Define benefits, track key performance indicators, and ensure alignment of multiple related projects to achieve enterprise goals.
  • Apply process engineering and project management methodologies to lead high-impact initiatives such as workflow redesign, financial analysis, Lean & Six Sigma improvements, and digital transformation efforts.
  • Drive system improvements, enable change, and coordinate complex initiatives across departments to enhance performance today while building the foundation for the organization’s long-term vision.
  • Balance strategic vision with hands-on program management, applying planning, change leadership, and system development skills while serving as an advisor to executive leadership and a mentor to the HSE-Transformation team.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Project Management with a focus on Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Healthcare Project Management
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black) or Process Improvement Certification (preferred)
  • Project Management Professional Certified (preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in health care settings
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple programs and project plans
  • Ability to represent Montefiore Medical Center and the Health Systems Engineering Office in a professional manner
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and focused work sessions with multi-disciplinary services
  • Ability to conduct research, establish best practices and obtain benchmark information/data
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
