Job Description

This is a Senior Manager or Principal Attorney position supporting the Global Trade Compliance (ITC) team in conducting audits, assessments, and reviews of Inc. businesses to measure compliance with export and import regulations and Special Security Agreement requirements. This position also supports investigations and the preparation of disclosures related to non-compliance issues. The role requires advanced experience in trade compliance, an understanding of how trade compliance supports business functions, strong research, writing, and communication skills, high organization and follow-up skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams.

This job is located in Falls Church, VA, with hybrid work options considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in US export and import laws including ITAR and EAR.
• Review Department of State agreements, licenses, permits, and documentation for compliance.
• Conduct interviews, analyze findings, draft summaries, and prepare audit reports.
• Conduct internal investigations, prepare disclosures, and develop findings and correspondence.
• Perform compliance tasks, data calls, record keeping, process development, and training.
• Act as an empowered official and compliance expert in US export/import laws.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years, Master's Degree with 6 years, or JD with 4 years of export controls experience.
• Proactive, organized, effective communicator, able to handle shifting priorities.
• Sound judgment, process development, discretion, and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
• Willingness to travel 30-50%.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in audits, investigations, and working as an Empowered Official.
• Experience with OCR EMS export management software.

Pay and Benefits

Salary range: $132,000 - $224,400. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and recognition programs.
