Job summary

IQ-EQ in Dallas is seeking a senior accounting professional with extensive private equity and alternative asset experience. You will support client leads, review complex financial components, prepare investor-facing documents, and coordinate with auditors during year-end processes.

You will mentor junior staff, manage multiple priorities, and ensure accuracy and timely delivery in a hybrid work environment that values client service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a combination of alternative asset investment and public accounting roles.
• Experience with Private Credit clients is required.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

• Support IQ-EQ client leads across multiple Private Equity funds, ensuring deliverables align with limited partnership agreements and client expectations.
• Manage and review complex financial components, including journal entries, investor allocations, capital calls/distributions, fee and carried interest calculations, and waterfall models.
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules, and investor notices, coordinating with auditors and tax teams during year-end processes.
• Assess and enhance operational processes, handle routine and ad-hoc client requests, and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• Train and mentor junior team members, fostering development while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.

Job Description

You will be working directly with leading private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset industry under the guidance and direction from our experienced team of industry veterans. You will be facilitating our service offering by assisting, performing, and reviewing the following:

Qualifications

• You bring 8plus years of progressive experiencein private equity, public accounting, or a combination of alternative asset investment and public accounting roles- experience with Private Credit clients required
• You possess strong analytical and technical skills, with proven proficiency in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
• You havea Bachelor’degree in Accounting, and have demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
• You consistently deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work, manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and provide exceptional client service.
• You are proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Investran, and communicate effectively in professional, collaborative environments.
