Job summary

Blink Health in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Manager, Fulfillment Operations (Pharmacy) to own logistics and workflow for our mail order dispensing pharmacy. You will plan and oversee facility layout, inventory movement, supply chain coordination, and inbound/outbound logistics to ensure an exceptional patient experience and a well‑stocked operation.

Lead a team of non‑clinical staff and partner with the Pharmacist‑in‑Charge to align operations with regulated workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics operations; experience in central fill pharmacy workflows or pharmaceutical inventory is preferred.
• Proven ability to optimize fulfillment operations and implement technology-driven improvements.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Strong people management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Expertise in inventory control, supply logistics, and vendor relationship management.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse systems, productivity dashboards (e.g. Tableau), and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Pittsburgh, PA area (Coraopolis).

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed daily SLAs and cut-off times; ensure consistent, predictable operational performance.
• Oversee the physical flow of inventory and materials, including receiving, staging, storage, and outbound packaging support.
• Establish and maintain daily workflow processes, including station prep checklists, staging quotas, replenishment schedules, and end-of-day protocols.
• Monitor intraday throughput and fulfillment SLAs; adjust labor based on real-time performance data.
• Design and manage a safe, scalable facility layout that supports high-throughput operations.
• Ensure smooth material flow from receiving through outbound to minimize travel time and congestion.
• Support implementation of automation and technology systems (barcode scanners, conveyors).
• Oversee flow of inventory including forecasting, receiving, storage, and replenishment; vendor coordination.
• Lead inventory control programs, including cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Directly manage a team of non-clinical staff, set daily goals, provide coaching, and ensure SOPs and safety.
• Collaborate with PIC to align non-clinical operations with regulated workflows; work with Facilities, IT, and Procurement to ensure continuity.

The Role:

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced operations leader to own the logistics and operational workflow execution of our mail order dispensing pharmacy. As Senior Manager, Fulfillment Operations, you will be responsible for the planning and oversight of facility layout, inventory movement, supply chain coordination, and inbound/outbound logistics - ultimately ensuring an exceptional patient experience with our dispensing pharmacy. You will ensure the site is highly organized, efficient, and fully supplied to support pharmacy dispensing activities. In this role, you will lead a team of non-clinical support staff (e.g., inventory specialists, materials handlers, operational coordinators) and work in close partnership with licensed pharmacy leadership, including the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), to provide seamless, compliant operational support.

What You’ll Do:

Operational Workflow Management

• Work with the pharmacy operations team (pharmacists/technicians) to meet/exceed daily SLAs and cut-off times; ensuring consistent, predictable operational performance.
• Oversee the physical flow of inventory and materials, including receiving, staging, storage, and support for outbound packaging workflows (excluding direct medication handling).
• Establish and maintain daily workflow processes, including station prep checklists, staging quotas, replenishment schedules, and end-of-day protocols.
• Monitor intraday throughput and fulfillment SLAs; dynamically adjust labor and employee assignments based on real-time performance data.

Facility & Layout Optimization

• Design and manage a safe, scalable, and efficient facility layout that supports high-throughput operations and reduces bottlenecks.
• Ensure smooth material flow from receiving through outbound to minimize travel time and congestion.
• Support implementation and ongoing use of automation and technology systems (e.g., barcode scanners, conveyors).

Inventory & Supplies Management

• Oversee the flow of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical inventory, including forecasting, receiving, storage, and replenishment (excluding medication handling).
• Own vendor coordination, ordering, and delivery scheduling to prevent stockouts and support continuous operations.
• Lead inventory control programs, including cycle counts and reconciliation audits.
• Ensure all workstations are fully stocked with supplies through proactive staging and restocking processes.
• Directly manage a team of non-clinical staff, including Fulfillment Support Associates.
• Set daily goals and expectations; provide coaching, performance feedback, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to align non-clinical operations with regulated pharmacy workflows.
• Collaborate with Facilities, IT, and Procurement to ensure operational continuity, solve emergent issues, and support growth.
