Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is partnering with a fast-growing financial services client in Chicago to fill a senior FP&A partner role on the enterprise FP&A team. This hands-on individual contributor position will own forecasting, budgeting, and the long-range plan for two growth units, with potential to build a team of analysts later.

You will run rolling forecasts, build driver-based models, own variance analysis, and deliver board-ready packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years FP&A or related finance experience.
• Advanced Excel and planning tool proficiency (Adaptive, Anaplan, Oracle EPM).
• BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Looker and comfort with large data sets.
• Ability to translate numbers into a clear executive story.

Responsibilities

• Run rolling forecast, budget, and long-range plan for two growth units.
• Build driver-based models linking metrics to results.
• Own variance analysis and explain the 'why' behind the numbers.
• Create executive and board-ready financial packages.
• Model ROI, M&A, and other strategic projects.
• Partner with Data & Analytics on dashboards, data sources, and KPI definitions.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across operations, finance, and technology.

This seat is the finance partner for two growth business units, one in real estate services and one in technology services. It's a senior, hands-on individual contributor role on the enterprise FP&A team, with room to build a team of analysts later.

What you'll own

• Run the rolling forecast, budget, and long-range plan for your business units
• Build driver-based models that tie operating metrics to results
• Own variance analysis and explain the "why" behind the numbers
• Build executive and board-ready financial packages
• Model ROI, M&A, and other strategic projects
• Partner with Data & Analytics on dashboards, new data sources, and KPI definitions
• Work directly with senior leaders across operations, finance, and technology

What you bring

• Bachelor's in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
• 7+ years of FP&A or related finance experience
• Advanced Excel and a planning tool like Adaptive, Anaplan, or Oracle EPM
• BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and comfort with large data sets
• You can turn numbers into a clear story for executives

Nice to have

• MBA or master's degree
• Insurance, financial services, or multi-entity experience
• Track record building FP&A processes in a fast-growth setting

• Base $170,000 to $200,000 plus annual bonus
