Job Family Group:

Business Management

Supports leadership with coordination of projects and reporting associated with sales practices and risk programs. In addition to supporting effective implementation, maintenance, and administration of first line of defense programs, including but not limited to operational risk, AML, compliance, and regulatory matters. Focuses primarily on risk lifecycle strategy and efficiency, acting as a Subject Matter Expert for systems such as GRCE/Archer. Coordinates deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion. Contributes to a strong risk management culture through collaboration with other first line employees, and second & third line functions to ensure compliance, AML, or operational risks are identified, mitigated, monitored, and reported on regularly.

Responsibilities:
  1. Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on a comprehensive understanding of the business/group.
  2. Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
  3. Integrates program elements into overall business strategies to drive impact.
  4. Prepares and briefs senior leaders on regulatory matters across multiple units.
  5. Supports multiple business units with moderate complexity & business transaction risk.
  6. Represents the business/group in governance and risk forums, providing updates.
  7. Monitors and advises on risk management within the risk appetite.
  8. Manages/supports large/complex risk programs and initiatives to ensure mitigation and compliance.
  9. Keeps abreast of industry and legislative developments to update programs accordingly.
  10. Supports regulatory compliance by interpreting requirements and addressing gaps.
  11. Acts as a subject matter expert in internal control systems development and implementation.
  12. Networks with industry contacts for insights and best practices.
  13. Recommends business priorities and resource requirements, developing strategic roadmaps.
  14. Leads resources and executes strategic initiatives aligned with business and financial goals.
  15. Conducts independent analysis to resolve strategic issues.
  16. Builds relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and acting as a key expert.
  17. Analyzes data and provides insights and recommendations.
  18. Monitors performance, addresses issues, and leads change management initiatives.
  19. Ensures first line jobs follow defined processes and procedures.
  20. Develops and maintains procedures, communicating changes effectively.
  21. Designs sustainment strategies and manages exception requests.
  22. Facilitates training to ensure understanding of requirements.
  23. Provides quality control for investigations and reviews, including regulator interactions.
  24. May serve as the designated Compliance Officer or AML Reporting Officer.
  25. Builds risk awareness and skills through communication and training.
  26. Supports first line program management, interpreting regulatory requirements and managing risks.
  27. Analyzes program impact and effectiveness, recommending adjustments.
  28. Supports audits and examinations, developing action plans for issues.
  29. Delivers training to increase compliance awareness.
  30. Operates at a group/enterprise level, serving as a specialist resource.
  31. Addresses complex and ambiguous situations with creative solutions.
  32. Implements changes responding to trends.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Expertise in Program Management.
  • Professional with industry knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Influence and collaboration skills, especially across groups.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
Compensation:

Salary: $100,000.00 - $185,500.00

Pay Type: Salaried
