Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and related analysis across multiple entities. This role will develop and mentor team members, partner with financial leadership to interpret and communicate performance, manage the monthly close and reporting cycle, lead the annual budget process, support year‑end audit preparation, and drive process improvements and special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply a strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls, including accrual accounting.
  • Oversee detailed reviews of monthly financial statements.
  • Lead the allocation of overhead expenses and communicate impacts to subsidiary finance teams.
  • Manage the annual budget process, including analysis, inputs, and review of estimates across entities.
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial analysis, reporting, and insights.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to support forecasting, planning, reporting, and analytics.
  • Oversee the preparation of departmental budget vs. actual reports and partner with leaders to help manage corporate spend.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Financial Reporting staff.
  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and subsidiary reporting teams.
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and tools to enhance efficiency, automation, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with EPM teams to manage planning and budgeting applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent coursework).
  • 7+ years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger, or related fields.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Public accounting/audit background preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with financial systems and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/EPM platforms (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, FCCS, EPBCS, Smartview) preferred.
  • Proven ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex financial data.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and professionally engage across all levels of the organization.
