Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an executive-level finance data architect to own the Product Org data structure, loading budgets and forecasts across Adaptive Planning and Hyperion. You will partner with Product COOs to manage Opex, headcount plans, and discretionary spend, ensuring alignment with the Product roadmap.

You will drive annual and rolling forecast cycles, translate headcount mandates into granular data, and provide executive-ready analytics and ROI insights for strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the super user and owner for Product Org data within Adaptive Planning and Hyperion, managing monthly, quarterly, and annual budget uploads.
• Partner with SVPs and COOs to manage Opex, headcount hiring plans, and discretionary spend.
• Lead annual planning and quarterly rolling forecasts, translating executive mandates into data points.
• Ensure system-driven forecasts align with hiring velocity and project needs.
• Standardize inter-org movements and headcount transfers with audit trails.
• Build system-integrated models for headcount and Opex supporting scenario analysis.
• Distill data into executive narratives with ROI and efficiency recommendations.

Job description

This role is the primary architect for the Product Organization’s financial data structure and a strategic partner to the Technology & Product (T&P) COOs. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle of the Product budget—from high‑level headcount strategy to the technical execution of plan loading within Adaptive Planning and Hyperion. You will serve as the bridge between technical financial systems and business operations, ensuring that our $1B+ Opex and headcount footprint is accurately reflected, forecasted, and rationalized.

Responsibilities

• Systems Architecture & Data Loading: Act as the super user and owner for Product Org data within Adaptive Planning and Hyperion, managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual upload of budgets, forecasts, and personnel data, and ensuring structural alignment between ERP systems and business reporting lines.
• Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as the dedicated Finance business partner for selected Product sub‑orgs, partnering directly with SVPs and COOs to manage Opex, headcount hiring plans, and discretionary spend, ensuring all dollars align with the broader Product roadmap.
• Full‑Cycle Planning: Lead the annual planning and quarterly rolling forecast cycles, translating executive headcount mandates into granular, system‑ready data points and managing the source of truth for the Product Org.
• Operational Connectivity: Act as the connective tissue between Product COOs, Corporate Finance, Recruiting/ES, and Tech & Product business partners to ensure that system‑driven forecasts match the reality of hiring and project velocity.
• Process Engineering & Rationalization: Standardize inter‑org movements and headcount transfers in the system, remove friction while maintaining strict audit trails and budget accountability.
• Advanced Modeling & Costing: Build sophisticated, system‑integrated models for headcount and Opex that support real‑time scenario analysis.
• Executive Storytelling: Distill complex data from Adaptive/Hyperion into presentation‑ready narratives for C‑suite executives, providing clear recommendations on ROI and organizational efficiency.
