TITLE : Financial Close Manager – Matching SME

POSITION TYPE : Full Time – W2 Employee

LOCATION : Remote (May require some travel)

The Financial Close Manager should have a strong background transforming and automating close processes through process and technology implementations, including BlackLine and / or similar software with a focused skillset in Transaction Matching. They will be a strategic functional team member who will support key programs. This role will partner closely with our FCM Directors, Solutions Consultants, and other FCM Managers to deliver a comprehensive solution for our clients focusing on :

Transaction Matching Build and Execution

Data Source Identification and Harmonization

In-Transit Creation and Build, including GL Mappings

Close Solution Execution and Management

Project / Program Management

Client Management

Service Quality

Change Management

Business Process Transformation

DUTIES :

The FCM Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical and process components of an implementation and support of best practices in the critical close areas, with a focused effort in Transaction Matching. The FCM manager should understand leading practices and solutions for account reconciliations, transaction matching, and journal entries with the ability to assess current state processes and make recommendations on best path for improvement and automation (may it be process or technology). Of this role may vary, but some of the common tasks and duties include :

Partner with broader FCM team to deliver technical implementations (BlackLine or other solution) as a standalone project or part of a broader transformation program, serving as a key leader of projects and / or workstreams.

Work with various levels within Operations & Quality leadership to align the strategies and lead intercompany transformation at Sum Theory to be world class within and in support of the Client Management function.

Be the lead point of contact for BlackLine enterprise implementations & support the planning & delivery of Program Management capabilities and services in support of each project / workstream.

Enhance, improve and execute the Financial Close Transformation Delivery process.

Develop / execute / lead strategic initiatives, including projects to standardize and automate key close processes.

5+ years' of progressively responsible experience leading BlackLine, OneStream, Trintech and / or other solution implementations and projects.

5+ years customer facing experience (internal or external).

Intimate knowledge of BlackLine solutions including reconciliations, transaction matching, and journal entries.

Project and / or change management experience in managing, leading, and implementing financial reconciliation or related systems.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Strategic consultative mindset, with an aptitude for dissecting processes and delivering optimized solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Demonstrated competency in execution of multiple projects simultaneously.

Depth of financial close knowledge, including best practices across all critical elements of the process.

Strong data manipulation and database management skills as well as spreadsheet and analytical skills.

Strong collaboration, delegation and interpersonal communication skills.

Provides specialized expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures to meet users' needs.

Strong organizational, client service, and interpersonal skills required to work with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

Adaptability to changing priorities and customer needs.

Self-motivated, proactive team player with a natural curiosity and passion for learning.
